What fantastic news this is for Ollie and his family. Giving an academy player an early opportunity to shine or just pick up the atmosphere is just so inspiring. Ollie has been in the academy since he was 9 and has recently been offered a two-year scholarship with the club. He has represented Wales at both u15 and u16 age groups, scoring in the previous fixture against France. Last week Ollie was selected in the Wales u16 squad to participate in the famous Victory Shield competition. Ollie is a forward player who can play down the middle or out wide and likes to play on the shoulder making runs in behind the opposition's back line. What an opportunity for the lad. Great for the lad, even if it's only to soak in the atmosphere and be part of the changing room on matchday. Hoping we continue filling the bench going forward this season. Not sure what the thought was earlier in the season behind not filling the bench. Yeah I just don’t understand that ,unless it’s to do with registration limits but I think players under a certain age don’t have to be registered anyway? If they do then that goes against everything the FA say about their excuses for putting -21 Prem sides in the shitfest cup.

They changed the rules since then didn't they?? I thought they can just take them for small compensation, if they have a better graded academy etc Thanks for that pirate. Nice to see the workings of it

What a moment for the lad! Collins nearly set him up for a tap in if the Whitby CB had not slide in to prevent the pass.

Good see the young UN have a few minutes.
A great tackles, the confidence to try and beat a player with one of his first touches, a good run into the box (good challenge by the Whitby CB or he surely would have had a great chance one on one), and a dipping effort late on.
The kid must feel on cloud nine with the sort of experience money can't buy.
However, can someone tell me the benefit of bringing on Chris Martin for ten minutes, when Kofi Shaw could have come on for injury time?
Presumably Martin's short term contract may include appearance money and win bonuses if he actually plays.
I can't fathom that decision?
