Ive been watching some highlights of Whitby's games and they do knock it around quite well and score goals, we definitively will have to be on our game This is positive tho. What we don’t Want to play is a lump it team. Surely we can out play them if they like possession and on the ground football. Fingers crossed it’s a good game. Same level as Yate Town, we should be alright. |

Whitby have some players with decent pedigree. Alfie Doherty (ex Middlesbrough youth midfielder), Priestley Griffiths (ex Middlesbrough and England youth midfielder), Junior Mondal (ex Middlesbrough youth forward), Harrison Beeden (ex Rotherham youth defender), Jacob Gratton (ex Rotherham youth forward), Bradley Fewster (Ex Middlesbrough and England youth forward), Connor Simpson (6ft 5in ex Hartlepool and Preston CF). That’s us ducked then 😂 |

In normal circumstances we might expect a changed squad for this game. However,if AM is seriously wanting the manager job he will want a cv of wins. A defeat against Whitby essentially ends his chances of the permanent gig. I don’t think todays result will have much bearing on his chances. It’s the cup anything can happen, I’m sure the owners know that. I doubt a defeat would help his chances! |

I'm hoping to make it 2/2 tomorrow as we host Whitby Town. They ply their trade in the Northern Premier League and will be looking to match their best FA Cup performance by securing a place in the second round - last achieved in the 1985-96 season. Obviously this is a must win for us. Let's see if we can maintain momentum after last Saturday. Mangan has said that we will have a several bodies back from injury so it will be interesting to see the team sheet. 7-0 Gas. Goals from Thomas, Collins and Martin x2 UTG Jesus can’t believe they used the play 10 year seasons back in the day! 😮😂 |

Too right, its a no win situation for Mangan. If we win its expected and wont help or harm his chances, lose and that will have a massive negative impact on whether he will get the gig full time |

Not very nice I know but it might rattle him. In all honestly I love a good FA cup giant killing and I’ve seen us lose to minnows in this competition before so if they do play the game of their lives and win then fair play to them. The romance of the cup is great , seeing postmen and builders playing the biggest game of their lives and turn over professionals is what it’s all about in the early rounds which I find more entertaining than the later rounds where Premier league clubs mostly field weakened teams. Although obviously I hope it doesn’t happen to us today. UTG |
