I'm not super keen on many of the linked names but it goes without saying I'll give the next guy a fair chance...
This said- Monk. What has he achieved to get 11 votes? Defaulted into a Swansea job, eventually contributing to a relegation- little to no success at some big clubs. Never managed at this level and has been out the game for a few years.
Would be a huge punt. Surely not the best punt we can take?

Adding: if you're taking a Monk sized punt- do you look at reserve team managers and youth coaches? A bit Garnery but the logic was fine just didn't come off.

Plus Matt Taylor from Rotherham. Did a good job at Exeter 43.6% win ratio. Probably on borrowed time at Rotherham. |

He saved Swansea from relegation in his first season and they finished 8th the next season. They did not get relegated and he has not taken any side down. |

I’ve always admired Neil Harris both as a player and as millwall manager. If we could become a millwall type team of perennial play off / promotion contenders in league one or (dreaming) mid table and above gatekeepers in the championship with his no nonsense character it would be amazing. Millwall are consistently better than the sum total of their parts and that to me is what team sport is all about.

The Mango Whel turns again, but what we really need is a test for him under pressure....Reading will help provide that because anyone expecting a walk in the park is forgetting a nightmare on elm park, but you can tell a good experienced manager by how they react to things going wrong, not right...
