For all we know, they’ve already rotated the pitch and stands 360 degrees.

I thought about rotating the pitch too and constantly doodled over google maps print outs but it seems that the owners are happy to build off the terraces that are already there, with the possibility of rail seating if we’re in the championship longer than 3 years ( stop laughing at the back!).
My guess is it’s gonna be a massive east stand structure with as many student flats as possible then a decent kop end built off the thatchers with all the fan stuff inside. Job’s a goodun.

We are so making assumptions based on nothing ...... to manage expectations ( based on no knowledge at all ) ..... separate Student flat blocks in the car park, funding a cobbled together extended East Stand and a large version of the South stand in place of the Thatchers shed. Many would have been happy with the plan above, but the longer it goes on without the club saying anything the grander our expectations become. Lets hope the plans live up to the hype. See Exeter for an example ...... redhalomidco.com/portfolio/global-student-accommodation-gsa-exeter/

The owners have already stated their plans and the order in which section will be completed there was no mention of rotating the pitching at the press release So in answer to the question No they won't be rotating the pitch Also why would they pull down a structure they have only just put up to rotate the pitch I would imagine rotating the pitch would also involve the need to move the new stand which makes no logical sense Don't forget it's a temporary stand made of bolted together steel, which can be dismantled very quickly.... Except the posts that have been pile driven into the floor.

Exeter is not connected to the club - unless it was land they sold on

And if they did rotate the pitch would they be able to recreate the slope especially down into the south east corner. In all seriousness I do hope when the new East stand is built we make some attempt to level the pitch. There can't be many clubs in the league were the toss decides who kicks uphill at kick off. Whatever they have planned regarding stands, I hope they have made provision to properly level the pitch, even if done later on. Having professional sport on a sloping pitch is unacceptable nowadays.

I will never be happy until we leave the Memorial stadium and have a first-class arena similar to Everton’s.

This has not happened overnight but was agreed many years ago.

Not sure if we'd get a freebie stand as that's a considerable lump of cash. If we own the flats its income. Plenty of ifs and buts. Hopefully we'll get the full details soon

The club also part finances the railway station area

I'd be delighted if we had a stadium like Goodison park let alone the new one they've built.
How the other half live in the Premiership 😁

Don't forget it's a temporary stand made of bolted together steel, which can be dismantled very quickly.... Except the posts that have been pile driven into the floor. Well, most buildings are attached to the floor. They couldn't just place it on top and let it blow about in the wind. So, 95% of it is bolted together steel which can be dismantled very quickly. The posts may take a little longer, but I'm sure they could be removed, if necessary.

It's not a permanent stand, it can be easily packed up and moved elsewhere. That said it's far better than the Tent and WAQ Shack that the previous owners had persisted with.

It would actually be possible to extend the length of the new South Stand as the first stage before later knocking down the East stand and moving the pitch 90 degrees. It would mean a greater capacity whilst a new East Stand is built (behind a goal).

Possible but not gonna happen. Owners have said we aren’t moving, they’re just gonna build off the back of the terraces. I can’t see how it would mean greater capacity, as mentioned before the site is pretty much a square so whether the new stands being goal end or pitch side won’t matter.

Can people stop with this turning the pitch 90 degrees nonsense. It’s not going to happen and never was . 🙄😂
