Reminds me of when a certain Newport manager took over and grounded out results Let’s be careful what we wish for and not make the same mistake twice. Onwards and upwards Not sure it is a comparison. Under GC there was a clear plan and the players knew their job. Plus there were players who could score goals. Awful to watch in my opinion and not substantial. Now we appear to be stumbling to results. Not conceding, probably due to Bonds organisation. After that not convinced there is a plan. As others have stated we have been left short on the striker front and would say in midfield as well. Still not convinced by Mangan To be honest, I would be very happy if we stumble to results for the rest of tye season.

He’s trolling me all the time, Gasify summed it up. You are now feeding into him! I'm not trolling you at all I'm just fed up with you slating our team all the time, and your lauguage towards the last manager has been terrible and it's hard to ignore especially when youg uns come on here like my son, a few hours go by and you apologise then do the same thing again. Just for full disclose, have you mentioned the things that JB did and was found guilty of and did time for to your son? And for any younguns watching: This is a lie:

Just for full disclose, have you mentioned the things that JB did and was found guilty of and did time for to your son? And for any younguns watching: This is a lie: gasify doing what he does best, stirring it up, keep it up! Actually, there is a serious question in there. Have you mentioned to your son that JB stubbed a cigar out in a players eye? It would be a proper teachable moment about the difference between right and wrong. Much like the difference between attacking the post vs attacking the poster.

It would be a proper teachable moment about the difference between right and wrong. Much like the difference between attacking the post vs attacking the poster. When he does mention it to his son he might want to include that the perceived victim set fire to the shirt Barton was wearing at the time prior to having said cigar stubbed into his eye. Therefore was an utter pr*CK himself and deserved to have more than a cigar stubbed out in his eye for setting fire to clothing whilst being worn by a person. But don't let that small fact ruin your story gasify. Barton has gone guys. Stop letting him get in your heads like he did whilst he was here.

"During a Christmas party back in December 2004, Barton lost his anger in horrifying circumstances. Barton, who was dressed as Jimmy Saville, lost his rag when he caught youth player Jamie Tandy attempting to set his shirt on fire." *Lost his rag* "Barton was aggrieved by comments made by a 15-year-old Everton fan at a Bangkok hotel, resulting in a fracas. Reports claiming Richard Dunne was forced to step in as peacemaker, but Barton then turned on his own captain and the pair had to be pulled apart." Beat up a 15yr old Thai Everton fan. *Lost his rag* "Barton had a violent training ground fight with former teammate Ousmane Dabo in May 2007. Dabo suffered head injuries, including a detached retina, after the bust-up and was left needing hospital treatment" *Lost his rag* "CCTV footage captured the footballer punching a man 20 times, causing him to lose consciousness. He was also seen attacking a teenager and breaking some of his teeth during the Boxing Day night altercation." "Barton pleaded guilty to common assault and affray and was sentenced to six months behind bars, with Judge Henry Globe QC saying it was a "violent and cowardly act"" *Lost his rag* Joey Barton was a violent man. Joey Barton may well still be a violent man. This has to be the lesson for the young uns. Do not hold this man as a role model, its not big, its not clever and it certainly isn't funny.

How the hell have the anti barton brigade managed to turn the efl trophy match day thread into more anti Barton posts again 🤣.

He took charge of his first game just 18 days ago and until that time the team had been playing the Joe Barton way. It would have been easy for AM to continue as we were and delay any changes until a decision has been made about a new manager but no - he has tried to introduce changes to our playing style whilst playing 5 games . It stands to reason that there will be teething difficulties and you cannot compare us to a team that is using a long established system and know exactly what they are doing.

How the hell have the anti barton brigade managed to turn the efl trophy match day thread into more anti Barton posts again 🤣. From a role model perspective, whilst he was manager, there would have been some looking at him as a Role Model. Whether that is why kruger brought his son into the conversation or not, I'm not sure. However, kruger did bring his son into the conversation due to the names that Roadman had called JB. Sounded like a bit of faux offence to me. So, if the son is offended by some names that were used towards JB then that son needs to be reminded of the things that JB has done. Which was the intention of my post. Problem is, the haters are attacking JB and his bullshit the lovers are attacking the haters in JB defence. Somethings just cannot be defended. The cigar incident for me is one of those things. How anyone can defend stubbing a cigar out in someone's eyelid is just unreal. There is a theme with JB and it seems that his reactions to situations are disproportionate. Mainly due to his temper. As for the how the thread turned into Barton bashing, I think we are all to blame. The lovers, the haters. Attacking and defending.

What a truly silly statement, albeit two words. Say that in the chemo suite or to someone who has just suffered a bereavement or a veteran with PTSD. Two words that are just very poor to use imo

Two words that are just very poor to use imo I assume you've missed the "please move on post"? I interpreted the "Please move on" as move on from JB, rather than the thread itself. Would the thread need to be closed for people to move on from it? I think KP has a point. It's about the use of the term "Man Up". It is one of the reasons why rates of depression and suicide in men is higher than for Women.

Logged into gaschat this morning and noticed this thread still at the top of board. Had a look at the latest posts and Lo and behold yet another thread being used by the anti Barton brigade to continue their bashing of a man who is no longer our manager and nothing whatsoever about the EFL game. Obviously can’t find anything else to do , even this old boy can things to do to occupy the brain rather than worrying about a former manager of BRFC.
