Always felt Paul Miller was under appreciated. 22 goals was remarkable.

Couldn't get near Rovers players on the pitch so wished Neil Lennon luck for the future. He didn't do too bad.

Lived less than half an hour away for many years just over the border in Staffordshire. After that leg the BBC Radio Stoke commentary said as we left the ground sounding car horns etc ,'Their fans are cheering on the way back to Eastville'.We were at Twerton then which was funny. Also had an S O S from the league once to get there quick as a linesman hadn't made it and only just made it.No fourth officials then.My first ever line was there v Torquay who won 1 0.Tony Waddington manager.Refs changing room so small we had to go into the corridor to receive the team sheets but the lovely new stand since then more than made up for it later.Morecambe too have a gert Lush main stand which dwarfs the remainder of their ground. One game there I went out with the other two officials to check the nets and David Platt having a warm up accidently kicked the ball against me leaving a splodge of mud on my posh FA Blazer. He apologised. Now 57 he went on the play for England.

I was there …
Wolves were at Bolton the same night … we bumped into the Yam boys on the way up - when they realised we weren’t Sh1!heads we got on well.
Scary first 5 minutes though in the Service Station toilets …!

I was there too and remember the scrappy away goal that got us to Wembley. The most unsavoury memory of the day was the first ten minutes of the second half. The away terrace at that time was totally inadequate for a full attendance seriously boozed up. I was sober as I’d driven but a lot of over refreshed gasheads sought the toilets at the interval and realised there were so few that they’d still be queuing a significant period into the second half…so they took the decision to relieve themselves against the back wall. I presume they didn’t notice that the terrace sloped forward so that excess liquid flowed towards the front of the terrace and thus their excess bladder product seeped below their fellow gasheads feet. Most of it probably still had an alcohol by volume level that was higher than Watney’s but I fear it was still strong enough to ruin several pairs of footwear that night!
