England qualified as group winners despite narrow defeat to the reigning champions. Although they list on the balance of play and chances, England at least deserved a draw. Matches can be streamed free on the FIFA site Been a good tournament so far. Amara Diouf for Senegal is a sensational prospect. Just 15-year-old and destroyed Argentina with a MOTM performance. Metz have got themselves quite a prospect when he joins them after he turns 18. It is actually a tournament we should be scouting as a club ourselves because smaller clubs than ours have recently picked up youth international gems for peanuts from various clubs in regions around the world and sold them on for big money or are now worth big £££. In February 2023 then 18-year-old Mikayil Faye signed for the Croatian 2nd tier club NK Kustosija Zagreb (average attendance 165) direct from Senegalese club Diambars for a nominal fee and 5 months later he is signing for Barcelona for a reported €5m fee plus add-ons. Alagie Saine impressed with The Gambia youth international sides and joined Danish second tier club AC Horsens and is now worth probably 10 times as much or more. They previously signed James Gomez two years ago straight from The Gambia club Real de Banjul for a reported €40k and sold him this summer to Sparta Prague for a reported €1.1m. This summer another promising youngster from the excellent crop of Gambia youth internationals, Bakary Jawara, moved on loan to Slovakian 2nd tier club Pohronie (average attendance 400) with an option to later make the deal permanent. Elsewhere, the youth internationals Kwaku Karikari and Zubairu Ibrahim moved to Jedinstvo Ub (average attendance 1,200) in the Serbian 2nd tier straight from the Ghanaian league and are ripping it up.

The show rolls on without England. A disappointing tournament exit after defeat to Uzbekistan.

Not so sure any of the U18s Rovers Lads can hope for this level. I felt for them Friday afternoon.

It just shocks me the level of coaching, they can only do what they are instructed. Max is a great player, but says it all that the picture posted is in a Welsh shirt not a Rovers one.

Max is a great player, but says it all that the picture posted is in a Welsh shirt not a Rovers one. It's Ollie Dewsbury, who has 3 goals (vs France, South Korea, Slovakia) in 8 appearances for Wales at U15 and U16 level. The top photo is from his recent first team debut when he became Rovers' youngest ever FA Cup player and then travelled with the match squad for trophy game at Newport (pictured below with Antony Evans).
