I am on Monbeg Dude, but for the 1.30 I have several outsiders on ews. I am on Gligamboa on the 2.05 Outsider, but good value at 25/1 That was ante-post so I am not sure what the odds are now. Faugheen in the 3.20 Thomas Crapper in the 5.15. May make some more bets later.

Good luck guys Betting steady today as the Tuesday is never my favourite day to bet and I usually do better later on in the week where I have stronger fancies. Here they are anyway... 1.30 L'Ami Serge 7/2. Tricky race, only betting in it because of the free bet offer if it gets beat. 2.05 No bet. Think the favourite will win but Josses Hill the best value if his jumping stands up. 2.40 Barrakilla. 12/1. My best value bet of the day. 3.20 Think Faugheen will win but Jezki is good value ew at 5/1s he has his ground. 4.00 Annie Power to win, Bitofapuzzle ew at 20/1 4.40 Sego Success 5/1 5.15 Little Jon 12/1

I also bet on the free bet offer and lost but no loss, if you know what I mean. I am on Faugheen even though the odds were a bit short and I am on Barrakilla and Monbeg Dude in the 2.40

Dreadful day for me today. One of my worst for years. Even my usually reliable system for French racing let me down. Hopefully the rest of the week will be better.

Here's my preview for this afternoon's events...
1.30 Small stakes on this race for me. Vautour is too short, if it was a hurdle race I would be lumping on but over fences I think I will side with APACHE STRONGHOLD 2.05 REGAL ENCORE - finished 2nd here in a bumper 2 years ago and was a close 2nd behind the highly rated Garde La Victoire in his maiden race, he proved he can stay 3 miles on his last outing and is surely on a good handicap mark off only 139. McCoy's first winner. 2.40 DON COSSACK - best form in the race and most solid profile, looked like running a big race in the RSA last year before falling. 4 wins this season. Looks an open race in behind him. Uxizandre could be overpriced for the place money at 20/1. 3.20 SAPHIR DU RHEU - Highest horse in the race on OR, Nicholls seems cautiously optimistic which is usually a good sign (Aux Ptit Soins yesterday), can't understand how this horse and Zarkandar are the same price. He won over CD on his last outing and I expect him to at least go close. Un Temps Pour Tout is interesting Each way, they paid a lot of money for this horse and the Pipe stable rank him highly, Scudamore's record over hurdles at the festival is of slight concern though. 4.00 MONETAIRE - The same stable, same owners and same jockey have won this race twice in the past 3 years with horses with similar profiles and you can't dismiss that. Also looks to be running off a good handicap mark. Champion Court may be overpriced at 25/1 for a horse that likes Cheltenham but I expect Monetaire to take the spoils. 4.40 Not really looked at this race in enough detail yet. JUST A PAR interests me as he is on a fair mark and has some good form around Cheltenham where he finished 7th in the RSA last year and 4th in a handicap on New Year's day which at one stage he looked like winning. A good amateur on board as well in Mr Biddick.

Done Alright today! Had the placepot up for 80p's worth and had Uxiandre and The Package. Just a shame Monetaire lost about 10l at the start otherwise I would have had an amazing day.

Unbelievable week - I won't have another week like that for as long as I live. Devastated it's all over now, serious Cheltenham blues. Roll on next year.

Well, I have now managed to win back my Cheltenham deficit, partly on the gee gees and partly on the footie, so all is well with the world again.
