So that time is nearly upon us ladies and gents for the great 4 days of racing in the year.
I'm off to the trials meeting tomorrow at Cheltenham which I am thoroughly looking forward to and hoping to get some pointers to the main 4 days in March.
All 4 of the big races this year I feel are wide open expect for the Champion hurdle.
The Gold Cup looks an incredibly open renewal and Smad Place is my tip for that. I am on at 33/1 already but you can still get 25/1. The previous years RSA chase is a good pointer these days for the gold cup and Denman, Long Run, Bob's Worth and Lord Windermere are prime examples of horses that have won the RSA only to go on to win the Gold Cup the following year. (Smad Place didn't actually win the RSA but the front 2 were clear of the rest and the winner is injured for the gold cup).

Really looking forward to the Festival this year. There should be some truly epic match-ups.
Smad Place is a classy horse and at that price it's hard to disagree with you; cracking value.
Really looking forward to the Champion Hurdle. I'm a big fan of The New One and he's won me a tidy bit to date, but I will be all over Faugheen "The Machine". Reminds me of Denman in some ways; an absolute beast.
Roll on March!

I am on Cole Harden at 9/2 in the Cleeve Hurdle 3.35 Chelts. Available at 5/1 at 888 but unfortunately I am banned from there. (They don't like you winning)

Many Clouds impresses me today and you can still get 10/1 for the gold cup which is very reasonable. I still fancy both him and Smad Place after today.
Came out level today, very slight profit which paid for the beers lol.
Roll on March!

For anybody thinking about betting, there are plenty of good offers floating about at the moment especially for new customers. Some are practically giving money away. If you want any advice on any good ones or see one and not sure about it then just ask me.

Are you going up for the whole thing GGMI. I am working but am going up on Friday. I'm not gonna go mate, too busy for me, I like to study hard and bet in my own time, everything is just too much of a panic there. Enjoy the Friday though.

All my proper bets are already on ante-post. I go to watch racing for the fun and the occasion. I might have a couple of quid tote bets on the races I haven't got proper bets on. It's always too crowded and busy at Cheltenham to get bets on and tobe honest, paddock watching doesn't bring much benefit these days especially at high class races.

Yeah, I've placed a few antepost bets but will bet on the day as well. I went to the trials meeting at the back end of last month and that was a good day out but even then it was very busy. Let's hope it turns out to be a profitable week for us both!
