We invited that. Only ourselves to blame I can't understand why Vale gave away the free kick as the attacker still had to beat Bogarde before he could pass the ball. Having said that a win would probably be enough to get Mangan the job and we'd have to suffer this GC type of performance for the rest of the season. |

Fair score line we didn’t do enough to win the game to be fair.
Mangans record looking similar to Barton’s really , mid table which isn’t the worst thing in the world but obviously we hope for better.
When was the last time we finished higher than mid table in league 1 ?
Probably 25 years ago ?
Perhaps this is slow progress and perhaps by demanding a top 6 with this squad we’re pushing our hopes beyond what this squad can achieve under any manager I don’t know and I hope not.
We’re all hoping the board make a decision soon and most of us think it will automatically get better than mid table but of course it could get worse.
We’ll just have to wait and see.

Two absolute guilt edged opportunities he should he burying, especially that second one. Not good enough. Same for the team, not good enough. Lethargic and disjointed. Same defensive mistakes costing us. Need a permanent manager ASAP and that isn't Mangan. |

Has about 3 games a season where he looks league 1 standard the rest of the time he’s miles off it. |

Midtable mediocrity once again Off the pitch some progress to be proud of. On the pitch a squad made up of free signings loans and mid 30s. The board reckons we have a top 8 budget hence Bartons departure. They spent 300k in a year on players. Yes progress is being made off the pitch. Yes we are mid table . No we are not a top 8 side with a top 8 budget . |

We were aweful tonight. We just Invited the pressure and conceded another own goal.
To draw at home to a side like Orient and only have 37% is not good enough.
I think this will finally put the Mangan for the job to bed and get someone with new Ideas in.

I wasn't sure before but after tonight Mangan can't be given the managers job. Very little created and looked very weak under pressure.
Annoyed at throwing away three points in last two games.

Own goals and conceding in extra time in consecutive games along with a poor performance. You could see this developing all second half. We are quite weak and predictable.

Mangans record alright but I think we need to bring in someone else.
On the positive side the new stand looks great - it’ll be fitting for DC to be in the opposing dugout when it hopefully gets used for the first time.
And there is some serious surveying going on around the East Stand.

Shocking game of football and got what we deserved at the end. Hopefully this puts to bed any thoughts of Mangan getting the job and we get someone in with fresh ideas before the weekend. Excellent post, totally hit the back of the net with that post. |

My word we realy need shaking up . Mangan getting by on wins v relegation fodder . Orient not pretty but effective and wont be down there btw.

Mangan averaging 1.6 points a game over 5 league games.
Actually better than Barton and equates to 73 points over a season.
We could do worse than appoint him when I think of the likes of Tisdale , Garner but obviously we all hope we bring in someone that can take us on to the next level and not backwards.
The players are giving their all I’m sure of it it’s just that first Barton and now Mangan haven’t managed to get this side really firing have they.
