The uncertainty of the managers position really showed tonight, a flat lifeless performance, mirrored by the flattest atmosphere I known for a night game at the Mem in along time. We got some decent talented players ,but we desperately need a new manager to get the best out of them, as tactically we are so predictable at the moment.

The club obviously don’t want him , otherwise they’d of given him the job after the first 3 or 4 games. Just get the new bloke in whoever he is pronto. Don't think the club know what they want.

Pathetic tonight ..
Connor Taylor / Jack Hunt / Grant Ward / LT for 20 minutes put in a shift.
Connor was excellent …
Loanees can go back now as far as I am concerned ..
Cox - distribution rank bad - give Jed a chance . Vale- Lack of footballing brain to give away that cheap free kick ( has been good previously though) Crama - disaster waiting to happen and once again he sh** the bed ! Thus time in the five minutes he was on the pitch. Bogarde- if you’re not interested lad then go back to Villa's junior side. Woods - Ginger Bilbo Baggins who adds nothing.
Collins added nothing again / Marquis just proved he is past his best and L2 ticket please in January . Jevani Brown - I would rip up his contract - total joke who ambles around the pitch. Adds nothing.
Mangan and coaching staff - Clueless ! Whelan aside I would flush the rest out of the Mem asap.
Desperately need a new leader now .. and probably need to rip up the JB premiership play book and start fighting with some L1 nous and spirit.

That became clear to me last week when nothing was done. A full month and an international break later, which was the ideal time for a new man to have proper time with the squad. New owners & TG have got absolutely no idea what they want, or what they’re doing. It’s that simple

Jevani Brown made some good runs but was never picked out ….. he’ll come good. Collins is a good player and as soon as he came on he added threat to our forward line. Agree on much of the other stuff but perhaps a bit harsh on Bogarde.

I sat there before the game tonight looking at the huge lack of interest in player shirt sponsorship - probably at its lowest take up I have ever seen.
Prices reduced to £500 now and still so few taken up. Apathy rules clearly .. along with cost of living rises as well.
Must admit that I did suggest we sponsored one but after that dross tonight it’s hard to justify more money spent.
I’m a member of the 1883 Business Club and that has been poor again since David Bright left … many parts of our Club not functioning at the moment on and off the pitch.
High point of the night … Jerk Chicken was fab !

The fact is that Mangan is not a Manager and it will be an almighty mistake to appoint him. Unnecessary substitutions, same tactics as JB ie all back from corners and then struggle to get out. Like for like changes made that are exactly that except the players coming on were worse. Crama is not even as good as Connely. Marquis is a poor mans Martin. JCH would have taken the net and keeper out at the end.Why take off Thomas and change the defence- we werent great but we were holding them fairly easy. I want to see a team that when scoring one wants to get a second and a third. Less playing in our own half and pushing players forward to close the opponents down We make poor teams look average. We ahve good attacking players but they are being wasted by having to get back and work all the time. I blame the owners because if they didnt have a clue who was going to manage the side then they shouldnt have sacked JB especially with the run of fixtures we had.I really worry that we are going to really struggle this season.

Clarmont Gas, Well thank god you arent the Manager. mGood footballers do not become bad overnight. Javani Brown was brilliant at Exeter, I agree on Crama-terrible. Cox nothing wrong other than two distribution errors. We need to bring in a Manager who can create a style that gives attacking football and bring as end to the rubbish playing the ball out and getting ourselves under pressure and the crap all back in our box and not being able to get out. Marquis shows every reason why we needed JCH. Owners get some balls and sort it out -now.

Jevani Brown is 29-year-old and had one good half a season at League One level in his career.

Jevani Brown is 29-year-old and had one good half a season at League One level in his career. Yep agree. He's incredibly frustrating. Has some good attributes but doesn't protect the ball well enough whilst controlling it. Needs to respect possession. First you control the ball, then you progress.

One thing Barton could do was get us playing in way that meant we controled the game - at least for good periods. Since he's gone we've rarely looked in control and it's all much more reactive with the opposition dictating play. POsitives the new stand looks good and encloses the stadium nicely. The very few times the crowd made any noise you could hear an echo. Absolutely - every time the crowd sang “When the Gas go marching in” it was especially noticeable!

That's what you get when you think you can sit back and defend a 1 nil lead for 45 minutes.

Only two things wrong last night:
1) Slow play out from the back, putting us under pressure. I said on the Derby thread, the thing that Grant offers at CB is moving the ball quickly and we did miss that last night. No question Conner Taylor is a better defender and an absolute rock at the back. However for some reason, when he plays we get pegged in at the back.
2) Not taking our chances. We had plenty of chances to win that last night, but decision making in the final 1/3 was poor. Four occasions in the game where we should have scored:
1) First half switch from left to right was beautiful, Thomas takes the ball down lovely in acres of space. When there was green space to run into, he crossed into the box instead, was cut out by their defender. We should have at least got a shot on target out of that.
2) 2nd Half, Marquis 1 on 1 with the keeper 1st time. Goes for the far top corner, hits it over. Keeper was beaten, should have kept it down.
3) We win a free kick just outside the box on the RHS. A beautiful free kick, straight off the training ground ending with Evans in acres of space one the edge of the box with only the keeper to beat. Shot was shocking, still orbiting earth. NASA expecting reentry over the weekend.
4) Marquis 1 on 1 number 2. Clearly Marquis is struggling with confidence. He seemed to be in two minds as to how to beat the keeper. Ended up neither burying it or showing the keeper "The eyes" and slotting it away.
We didn't have much urgency all night but still could have walked away with a good victory, we did create enough chances just made bad decisions at the key moments.
Walking away, definately felt live 2 points dropped. Compared to the game vs Lincoln where it felt like 1 point won.
Management sentiment the same as everyone else, give it to someone soon. It feels like it impacted on the squad last night. Maybe different to most is that I think Mangan can do the job.

Anyone else notice the confusion on the faces of our defenders when Crama came on and tried to pass on Mangans instructions? Felt like they thought it was wrong move. We were defending well, why mess about. Proved correct.

One of the most pathetic second halves I can remember, fully deserved equaliser for Orient. The Marquis miss just after was absolutely criminal and sums up his season - for him to be arguing with fans who are upset that he can't do the thing he's paid to do for £5k pw takes some gall.
