Seriously, is this guy any better than James Connolly? I see nothing in sending Connolly out on loan and getting this slow old carthorse in. He can’t pass, can’t head and is rarely fit. Recall Connolly in January please.
Plymouth released him for a reason.

Are you kidding. Connolly has not been half the player he was on loan since we paid good money for him. That’s why he was sent out on loan.

I’ve seen Connolly play well numerous times, Wilson, looks slow lethargic and struggles to pass and head a ball, not sure what the hype is about him? Looking at his stats, he’s only played more than twenty games a season six times in his fifteen year career, not really Glenn Whelan standard is it. |

Connolly was struggling before we sent him out on loan, given Saturday's 6-0 hammering by Wrexham he might well be still struggling! If Wilson's not the answer then perhaps we need to sign a replacement in January? |

No Beef is no good for us, they let in 6 Saturday and he started.
Let’s also try and sign Tom Davies!
Connolly isn’t up to Div1 football…….can’t jump, no strength, no pass, limited passing ability. I swear we lack respect for our past players, you compare No Beef to Hinton, Byron, Macca, Elliott, he’s absolute fodder.

Wilson is a very good league one defender. I know last night was awful but what I will say is our defence were very good for the majority and have been since mangan took over. ( Maybe the derby game aside )
A centre half pairing of Wilson and Taylor is up there with the best in the league imo.

I think Wilson looks good in patches. My only worry is how he’s going to react to another winter in those legs after a few knocks already this season.

Wilson, Taylor, Crama and Connelly would be a decent enough squad of CBs. I have said all season we are one short. DOnt mind JC getting minutes at Morecombe but needed to bring in more cover.

Can't say I feel too comfortable writing off players.
Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, a new manager brings new ideas and man management styles, it should mean players start with a clean slate.

Either cut Crama loan short or leave Connoly out on loan and replace them in that list with a decent left footed cb. Nothing against Crama but need a left footer for balance and ending a loan is an easy way to create squad space. I know Friend can cover there but unlikely to be available for most games it seems. |

Madness in league one to write off players, this season alone we've had games where Wilson/Crama/Taylor/Grant have all looked like our best CB and all have had games where they've not looked up to the standard. Same could be said for pretty much every position on the field. The thing that will make or break this player's is how consistent they are in being at the positive end of that range. |

I'm happy with Wilson and Taylor, they look decent together. Plus Taylor can learn from Wilson. Aside from individual errors and a bit of bad luck we've been much much better defensively last half dozen games....
