I was at the Brighton match 50-year-ago, and also remember that season as the promotion one. That was the first time I had experienced a Roversâ promotion. At the time Rovers had a superb strike force of the legendary âSmash and Grabâ. Oh, how I wish Rovers had a present Bannister and Warboys!

Iâm certain Iâve read those orange shirts were Brightonâs away kit? And our actual away shirts were red and white stripes between 70 & 74? We didnât actually wear them because of the black & white tv issue with viewers at home?
You can see the red trim top of the socks, so would add up. Any confirmation would be grand.
Imagine that design going down with gasheads todayđ

Doubt that kit will get an anniversary special, the red and white that is. |

They also had our snowy match with that great Ipswich team on fairly recently |
