Clarke was binned out by the self proclaimed King of Twitter because he stood up to him after being heavily criticised in front of the whole dressing room.
They were literally pulled apart -
Clearly someone didn’t like a taste of their own medicine.
I wonder if he might make a return and solve our problem at LB ? I certainly think he is better than Grant or Gordon and never expect to see Gibbons there again.

Ryan Jones back from injury and MotM today for Bromley.
By January we will know if the season is effectively over, so maybe bring back Clarke and Jones with one eye on the future?

I like Clarke. Don’t see the problem with Gordon. Would be happy to never see Grant or Gibbons in the quarters again.
I’d have Trev back question is if we can register him and if he’ll even play for us again after his treatment by Barton.
That said Friend is probably our first choice LB when fit.

Grant was light years ahead of Gibbons when he came on. JG is a half decent utility sub at this level. Gibbons isn't up to it, full stop! I liked Clarkey & thought he was harshly dealt with. I'd be happy to see him back in the quarters, happy if I don't see Gibbons again!

Second successive start for Jones and scored the only/ winning goal today. Sounds like Bromley manager rates him though says he is still a work in progress. Good experience for him playing at National league level.

Clarke is a bit of a headless chicken with very poor positional sense. If it’s a case of bringing him back in to the squad in January I’d prefer us to look at options elsewhere first - surely there must be better out there?
In the meantime I hope Gordon or Friend get back fit soon as I don’t want to go through the remaining December fixtures with Gibbons and Grant 🫣

Gordon's out for 3 to 5 weeks, Friend will probably only last a game or two when he returns before being out injured again!

Hopefully Taylor has a first choice LB/LWB already in mind for Jan 1st Gibbons one of a handful id like to see moved on. Im in an ever dwindling minority but like Grant as a utility sub on the bench until he finds his best position!

Constantly lost challenges and gave the ball away nearly every time he had it. Neither him, Gibbons or Gordon are anywhere near League One ability. Wouldn't mind one bit if any of them never played for the Club again.

I always felt Clarke was like running up and down on train tracks for us, he couldn’t come in side or use his right foot!
He’s probably still in therapy after being publicly and mentally destroyed by the last manager.

Grant defensively , right in front of us, was a calamity. He lunged in at one point and missed man and ball but fortunately Cheltenham weren’t able to capitalise. His approach when defending seemed to me to be react after they have gone past me, a disaster waiting to happen but as he moved up the pitch and further away from me he seemed smooth. When I first saw Trevor Clarke play I couldn’t believe how good he looked, gorgeous first touch and decent crosses and then the management saw it differently. I’d have connely back as well and play him every week with Taylor and hoole and let them grow and develop as a group, assuming we not going to win the league that is! 😀

Clarke looked very quick and dangerous going forwards and dodgey defensively , I saw him more as an attacking wing back or even a winger. Not sure if he’s good enough for league 1 but with only Gordon currently in our squad who does look good enough for league 1 and he’s similar to Clarke in that he looks better when we’ve got the ball than when we haven’t hopefully Taylor can get him back to give us more options.

I'd be interested in seeing Grant given a go in the central midfield 2 alongside Ward with Evans in front of them. However, with our issues at LB currently, unless we move Vale back again, I think he probably is the least bad option?

Clarke isn't good enough for this level and is so left footed opposition players work him out in about 5 mins as he only has one move.

I think the left back we need isn't at the club yet, none of our left backs are good enough. Friend could be, but he's never going to be fit. In my opinion we need a big strong, left footer who can play left side defence if required. If he's got a bit of pace as well, then all the better.

If we had a Hunt equivalent down the left, it would improve our chance creation massively, as well as strengthen us defensively.
