I’m still here but yeah I get what you’re saying Percy , mostly just coming on here for a look from time to time , reading a bit and then getting on without posting. As you say it’s become very toxic. |

I agree but also don’t let them fool you we’re not even struggling. Our form over the last 8 games which is around the time we sacked our last manager sees us 13th. Not that bad and reflective of our mid table league position. As I said on another thread earlier it could all go tits up under Taylor or it could get better or we might just stay around mid table none of us know. Personally I’m a pint half full kind of bloke and I’m looking forward to the rest of the season. Edit : just looked and we’ve played 6 league matches since Barton was sacked and we’ve lost once. |

We need games. It’s the only way to get a chance to give everyone a boost, be it players or supporters. We could win it, let’s hope so and then brim full of confidence going to Bolton. Simple game really. We will again defend our box aggressively and pop just the one needed at the other end. And I’ll be up for Norwich 👍

Cup games were always a bit of a lottery and form is not really a guide, but it's even harder to predict these days with many if not most managers putting out below strength sides in the early rounds. It's just not taken as seriously any more and it makes forecasting a result almost impossible.
So. Crewe 0 Rovers 1.

Crewe have W7, D2, L1 at home and sit 5th in L2, just 1 point behind 2nd place Wrexham. They also knocked Derby out in R1.
Honestly think they're clear favourites tonight and at 21/10 I'm seriously tempted to put a tenner on.
Hope the boys prove me wrong tonight but performances over the past couple of months don't give me much hope.

Crewe have a good defence with Connor O'Riordan and Zac Williams (returned on Sat as a sub after injury) both impressive and likely to play at a higher level. Elliott Nevitt (if selected) is a powerful player up top for them and our lads will know they have been in a game facing him. Really tough game this and not one I want to predict. Will have my fingers crossed. UTG!!! |

Fear we will be absolutely battered tonight - Could be three or four. With an awful third round tie awaiting the winners I am not to bothered about the result but am desperate for us to show some fight. There are one or two who should be nowhere near the starting line up given their total lack of anything in the last 135 minutes ... sadly they will probably start. Surely most players have put in decent 45 mins spells over the last couple of games, the issue is the other 45 mins when they didn't? |
