From what I’ve seen of him for us his passing and vision looks championship standard but I wasn’t convinced by the rest of his game. I listened to radio Bristol commentary and he didn’t seem to get mentioned much.

Yes, he was the most defensive MF, passing fine and got as stuck in as anyone else. Witness the fact that we cruised to a 3 nil lead with him playing. AE played virtually in the forward line and Hunt got forward freely, so they must have been fully confident defending was in good hands, eg Woods's. If you want to be critical, you can say he was taken off just after Crewe had scored twice, but let's be charitable - he was probably tiring and others were really culpable.

Only Smudge was able to provide scores for this game, obviously due to the game not being televised. Ithank him for his efforts and will announce that Taylor was our top scorer on 9.0, followed by Hunt on 8.0. Our lowest scorers were Grant and Brown on 4. The Ref scored 4 and Crewe 5.
