All a bit dodgy. 17.5% of shares in Swindon Town transferred in a allegedly dodgy way to Swinton Reds 20, a allegedly dodgy company owned by the allegedly dodgy former ownwr Lee Power.
Wonder what's going on? I'm sure someone is making money out of this lot.

The local press are suggesting Swindon will escape with just a fine.

Dodgy dealings have intermittently followed this club around for years. Bad business too, remember the no refund policy after a downpour abandonment?
Swindle by name, Swindle by nature..

Amongst a lot of red flags over who runs/owns/controls Swindon, one is that Axis Football Investments Ltd (their 'holding' company effectively) both last year and this year has shortened it's accounting period by one day.
Perfectly legal but it allows them a three-month extension to prepare and file statutory accounts - and this is a tactic often used to hide issues from either creditors or (more likely in this case) governing bodies like the EFL....

Didn't they once appear on an episode of Can't pay we'll take it away? due to unpaid debts.

Got a couple of bad ones and a friend who has brain damage when we played them, back in the 90’s. I can’t recall the year but it was when the OB really gave us no protection and provoked us. It was carnage, chunks of concrete being chucked, that was part of the terracing. I will not name him but most Kingswood will know who I am talking of.

I think that was the year that we walked into a big mob of them at the front of the ground and whilst the melee ensued the local constabulary just filmed everything.

There was a Tony Pounder year when we won, sat in their end (as they swapped it to away end for some reason?) and ob kept us in on final whistle.
Then the concrete comes over like a scene from Return of the King.....I know the fella that swiped the lock and move all together we were out and baited hitting all and sundary....not nice scenes for them, they had it on toes leaving a few behind, one of which was the biggest tallest bloke in the world but we were incensed. He got serviced Watching old guys of our own bleeding and concussed with ob doing NOTHING was enough to see a lot of us take matters in our own hands.
Cowardly lady gardens. Couldn't stand, after their mindless acts. Couldn't back it up. No respect after that so a horrible club and some fans to boot (quite literally that day).

Funny enough I remember that incident vividly even though I was only 9 or 10 at the time. Was the first time I'd seen real violence at a football match and remember being sh*t scared at all those bricks coming over the wall at us.
