Love all this nonsense about who we might or might not sign. It is all totally irrelevant if manager after manager are unable to get most if not all of the players to perform to their capabilities week in week out.

Charlton Ath set to sign Bakinson (Midfielder) on loan from Sheff Weds (ex Ted), in talks over signing Lewis Fiorini on loan from Man C (attacking midfielder) & in advanced talks with West Ham's midfielder Conor Coventry. Surely if we are in for Docherty from Hull we would be favourites now?

I think our board are happy for a mid table finish and to strengthen in the summer. Shame as I feel with a good window we could have pushed on with a real Intent for play offs.

Love all this nonsense about who we might or might not sign. It is all totally irrelevant if manager after manager are unable to get most if not all of the players to perform to their capabilities week in week out. The problem with this theory is that if all 92 squads competed to their best ability . You will still have 92 positions and 4 division. Sadly what talks is ' money ' and in a sense ruined football. Otherwise Man City or Liverpool won't be at the top and Torquay United or Scunthrope won't be in regional divisions . Of course players need to give 100% but that still means there are better player with more talent but cost ' money '. So it's a combination. You need lots of money and lots of commitment.

Dont even believe DMac that they have turned down £450k I dont think we should sign him, but if the club want to spend 450k then I'd be excited what it could mean If we give £700k to Peteboro I'd be too mad to be excited!

DMac is full of crap but what he does seems to work. He bangs on about how much he got for Dembele in the same situation, even though he was a lot younger than JCH is, and had resale value

There's a rumour JCH is going to sign for £700k... I think it's rubbish personally A fake/wind up account on X commented he was having a medical ahead of a 700k move. Assuming that's where it started.

The sell on % will keep him busy for years spending it. UTG!

Not a theory just fact. Gerry Francis achieved it with average players who ran their bollocks off every match for 90 minutes plus. They didn't always perform to their potential but usually to 90% most matches. They very rarely scored in injury time because they put everything in for the 90 minutes that proceeded and usually scored before then. Unlike the gas players of today who think that it is ok to only start playing when you are losing.

Signed another non-league gem today for their development setup. Indeed. Whatever you think about Darren Mac and BF they have a successful recruitment policy which they stick to and works well for them. No lack of an infrastructure there. UTG!

True, but there were also some memorable injury time goals back then from a team that never knew it was beaten. Two against Cardiff at Twerton for instance, when on our run of six games in a row coming from behind or level to win 2-1. I remember Mehew pushing the keeper out of the way for the winner and nodding home Cardiff fans went mad and tried to storm the pitch. Thwarted by police on horseback. Well something like that anyway. Memories from my 10 year old self.

They were good. I'm pretty sure this is the game
