it's always a complete mystery why Rovers never have any youngsters pushing for a 1st team place. Not really its not. We don't have an acadamy team and the young players we do have are all loaned out. We do have an academy team, we don't have a development squad. We are in the under 18 youth league. |

11 days of the window left … minimum four needed but no clubs prepared to accept Green Shield stamps to fund a deal.
Also think another one may be leaving.
I am still optimistic though that we will be pleasantly surprised before the window closes.

MT right now on the radio sounds like extension for Martin is close and 2 midfielders (or at least one close and another to come)
No bids for Collins but sounds like he’s putting the boot in a little.

MT right now on the radio sounds like extension for Martin is close and 2 midfielders (or at least one close and another to come) No bids for Collins but sounds like he’s putting the boot in a little. I wonder if the two midfielders are the ones we have been linked to from Grimsby and Mansfield? Lots on social media about us putting in a bid for Grimsby's Kamil Conteh. I like the idea of this vision to look for young upcoming players. Yes you will have to spend a bit of money but hopefully long term it would work out. Of course you have to balance this with experienced players, but most of these are only available in the summer when they are out of contract. I suspect we are also looking at a couple of loans to plug the gaps. |

The real trick is finding the right ones and then convincing them to come and play for us Exactly. If you want the better up coming young players you will need to spend a bit of money but its worth the risk. This is exactly what a club like ours should be doing, especially if we are able to pay for these players. We have signed too many older players the last couple of seasons which may help short term but if its no good if you want to follow this model. |

More likely to be the midfielder from Exeter that we were linked with and a loan player. Unless we can pull off the signing of the player from Grimsby, but they reported other clubs were in for him as well now. Some of those clubs could be higher, some might be a better location, if he doesn't want to move to the South West. I think we could end up with a loan midfielder and the player from Exeter if he's not still injured. |
