Think I've mentioned on other threads that as a Salesman covering Midlands and Yorkshire I spend a lot of time travelling and staying in hotels during the week; I often end up at a non-league game as find it a nice way to wind down in the evening and whilst I wouldn't describe myself in the trainspotting category of groundhopping, I've ticked off a few over the years!
Most years I usually enjoy a Christmas non-league game between Christmas and New Year, but with Rovers having the two home games my options seem very limited.
Unless anyone knows differently (I use the Futbology app); my choices on the 27th are Slimbridge, Stonehouse or Royal Wotton Basset. Anyone got any recommendations or should I stay at home stuffing my face with leftovers and tossing off to a film on ITV2 I've seen 1000 times?

Stonehouse would be my choice of the three given that it has a much stronger football heritage with dated infrastructure - stand and significant covered area. Royal Wootton Basset is a modern ground but lacks character at the moment. Spend my time groundhopping these days but saw Rovers at Cambridge United and looking forward to the Norwich City cup tie.

Stonehouse is the better of the three as said above.

Thanks Finnish and Chewbacca, if I do end up decide doing a game that will be my choice.
Just to keep the thread going, what are people's favourite random grounds. I haven't actually been that many non league grounds around Bristol other than obvious like Twerton and Cosham Street; but would add Prescott Cables (when staying in Warrington) and Frickley Athletic (when staying in Wakefield) as two interesting ones I've ticked off in the past few years.

St Albans City The Victorian stadium is located in Clarence Park and I believe is listed. The park itself is wonderful with a lovely cricket ground adjacent to the Stadium. As importantly, St Albans being home to the Campaign for Real Ale, there is a brilliant pub across the road from the stadium, The Mermaid. Sells Real Ales, Real Cider and Trappist Style bottled beers. The matches always passed serenely after a visit pre match. Absolutely recommended to anyone groundhopping around non league.

I've been to 434 grounds, please stop asking me questions that make me look even sadder than normal.

Watched a game at Edinburgh City last season, v Alloa. They play at the old Meadowbank stadium I think, home to the 1970 Commonwealth Games. One tiny low level seating area and then standing round a bit of the athletic track. My favourite odd ground by some way, though not non-league. St Albans City is great as someone else said.
