Taylor certainly showing that he understands this level , what works at this level and what style of play and tactic suits these players and he’s only been in the job 3 weeks.
Barton did build a good side , he didn’t bring duds in to the club .
I’m not saying we’re a top 6 side but we’re definitely better than a just over a point a game side.
It’s so good to see fast attacking direct football using the attribute’s of our players rather than falling asleep watching us dick about with it overplaying at snails pace and throwing points away constantly.

That was absolutely incredible. The noise, the scenes at the end, unbelievable moment the second it hit the net.

To a man we were fantastic throughout in both attack & defence, special mention to Cox with two massive saves today. Right on half time thwarting Bishop putting his body on the line to smother & into the latter stages at 1-1, a cross to the back post that was a tap in all the way but for his hand getting a touch on the ball & putting off the onrushing Pompey lad. The entire away end thought it was in.

And MT with the tactical switch that won the match for Rovers, introducing Hunt on 86 to enable Thomas to push on and operate as the third striker. & there he was for the tap in right where it mattered after some excellent work from Vale. Who I personally thought was superb from the first minute & kept his man Kamara quiet all day long.

Also echoing the comments of many, I can’t believe they finished the game with 11, at least two studs up dangerous tackles on Collins & Wilson after half time, in another division (you know which one) they’d have been sent packing.

6 points from 9, Bolton, Blackpool & Pompey. Amazing return with a home game to come Friday night.

Thankfully Portsmouth are one of those clubs who will definitely have multiple ‘YouTube vloggers’ so looking forward to the match footage from their end.

Let's not forget Connor Taylor, who kept Colby Bishop very quiet and won everything. Wilson was excellent too in defence, calm passing, good runs.

Special mention to Grant Ward who smashed Shanunnasy to the floor after his horrible tackle on Collins which should've been a red.

Great team performance which was brilliantly managed by Taylor.

We are short of options though on the left and upfront. If we can get a couple in in the window I wouldn't say a run to the play offs is out of the question.

You have to love an injury time winner especially to deservedly beat the top of the table side. They showed glimpses of why they are top but for the most part we were better on the day.
Every one of the players used today put in a huge effort, completely different way of playing compared to the early part of the season but this system really does seem to suit the players we have.
Hard to pick out any individuals today which goes to show how good we were.
