8 points from top 6 where we won't play Pompey, the top team again. 5 away matches played; 1 home.
19 Wycombe 23 6 7 10 -6 25 20 Exeter City 23 6 5 12 -19 23 21 Reading 24 6 6 12 -8 20 22 Cheltenham Town 23 5 5 13 -15 20 23 Fleetwood Town 23 4 6 13 -19 18 24 Carlisle Utd 24 3 8 13 -17 17
4 points from the bottom 6 where we haven't even played two of them yet (Exeter or Fleetwood), and Wycombe await... 2 away matches played; 2 home.
I would say we're set up favourably, as all but 1 the top 6 hardest matches will be placed at home.
And on paper, the easiest 6 matches we will have 4 at home.
So, 10 important matches against teams fighting for something where we've already had a decent accumulated return.
We tend to play better against teams with something to play for, it's the sit behind the defence teams we struggle to break down...
So, the Mem always plays a part....but with recent last minute goals towards the Thatchers End, we as fans can ramp up the atmos and play a key part to make it intimidating for opposition - especially with opening of a new South Stand.
Let's collectively make 2024 a Mem bouncing us up the football league and happy new Gas year, everyone, wherever you are...
