Morning Gasheads, Happy New Year to you all, hope there are no too many sore heads out there. We take on Wycombe today with both the team and myself on for a hat rick of wins. Am I confident, well yes certainly after recent performances but they have been a bit of a bogie team in recent years. I’m going to change my prediction and go for 3-1 to the Gas (Leahy to score for them). UTG. I hope you are right as that bloody team seem to be a bogey side for us. I would love nothing better than to see us give them a proper drubbing. |

Everything feels so positive and in the past it’s at these moments we get carried away and lose.
Hoping today we keep building against a group in awful form but the biggest cheats in the league so anything could happen.
I think we win an ill tempered game with at least one Red card expect dramatic falling down / screaming and all the other dark arts these wankers are notorious for. If we are behind on 60 plus minutes expect their keeper to be down on the ground for five minutes plus…
Really hope we demolish them … it’s long overdue !

In a decent, unexpected run of form, backed up by deserved performances, I think we find ourselves in somewhat new territory with challenges.
Wycombe is no gimme, their fortunes have gone a bit tiswas since Gareth left for pastures new and can't produce a run of form for toffee.
Dangerous ground.
Breeding for complacency.
I think after the lord mayor's show we're due a lethargic display and would never be surprised at a draw today - which if so, might feel like a disappointment - but most would have taken 4 points in fixtures v Charlton and Wycombe, let alone the wins v Bolton and Pompey, the top 2.
1-1.

We went to a wedding in Hereford, got there at midday and left at 1.30am this morning some session! Dislocated both my thumbs in Wycombe in 1987 trying to do "Dancing on the Ceiling" to impress the locals.
