This was always going to happen no matter who took over from Barton. Given time the stain will begin to fade, but the association will never disappear from our history unfortunately. sadly nothing will ever tarnish the club and the match fixing in the 60s. everywhere I go in the world and talk about this club. Always this gets thrown in my face. Our brand has been ruined from those dark dark days. Oh I know... Maybe this will help?  |

Unfortunately everybody now associates JB with Rovers. |

Have you no knowledge of IP addresses then ? As for talking about posters in some group, that’s just mad as a bag of frogs. You are not superior people They said Roadman is using a VPN and he’s Gasdust. As Trevor (Gasdust) just said and they admitted, they had no complaints about me or him, so why were they chatting about us/forum members? When some see that someone else has genuine information that they have not been able to access, there is an instinct to either try to cancel them or/and belittle their posts. what bakes my noodle is that there are many things to do in Bristol but there is plenty of genuine research of what happens when you have people in perceived control and those who are not. It’s covered by Skinner and others who have studied human behaviourism. It’s not a shock to me , in fact I expect it |

I didn’t discuss the suggestion that gasdust == roadman in my post. But for the record we all know about IP addresses on the team and have access to tools which show which IP a user has been posting from. We don’t need an IT lesson. As for group chat - again how do you suggest we moderate without it? There it is, the defensive post that I fully expected. So predictable |

He’s gone way too far At first I felt he may be pushing an agenda for his podcast launch but genuinely think he’s having a crisis At first, while I disagree with his point, I think it’s an interesting debate and I can understand the basic perspective. If you have a woman commentating at the men’s highest level saying what a player should have done in the moment, I can get the frustration, although I disagree with it. But the frustration is misguided - there are plenty of men who’ve never played football who comment/ commentate and say what players should have done in a moment, no one ever complains. And ultimately, that’s what makes his point sexist. And now he’s gone down a terrible spiral and he’s just made it even worse. |
