It’s not really who’s qualified and who’s good and who isn’t.
For some, the distasteful thing is deselecting people from jobs because of their gender. For every person lifted into a job through affirmative action to address “historic prejudice” there’s a person who’s done nothing wrong other than happen to be born a certain way. Which is what I strongly suspect may have happened due to the rapid changes.
Women are becoming overrepresented in terms of hiring in these positions, good luck applying for these jobs at the moments of your a man. You may well think it’s a good thing, but you wouldn’t if you happened to have just worked yourself into a position where you’re a good candidate but sadly there’s a box you can’t tick.
It might make you a bit cheesed off. Especially when if you protest about what you view as unfair conditions you’ve got a gang of politically charged wallies gleeful at the fact you’ve been discriminated against and calling you a dinosaur. For them, discrimination was never the issue. It’s the direction of

More often than not I am at the away games💙utg Doesn't that rather negate your point then as you wouldn't be listening anyway? I have listened to her on a few occasions,I think 2/3 games one might have been a Yeovile game -now I choose not to ! If I cant make an away game, it would usually indicate I wouldn’t be able to listen anyway, if it was on ifollow I would take Hugo’s advice and listen to the away commentary ! I don’t go much on the quality of the male radio Briz commentators but at least they are not shrill and hysterical 😩 🤗🤗🤗🤗💙💙💙💙💙Utg |

I don't think Barton has lost the plot. Well at least not his plot. He's just reverting to type after attempting to behave whilst employed as our manager.
Now he's free to say what he thinks and the gloves are off. The tiny amount of credit and respect he has in the game must be evaporating fast.
So glad he's gone. A total embarrassment to the club and a woeful decision to appoint the snake oil salesman. Wael got that one badly wrong.

It’s aboht whether or not a candidate is good at commentating. Gender doesn’t come into that. It’s mainly an about how well they narrate a story unfolding and create iconic statements we can all latch on to. I’m saying hire people on the basis of this. That’s what I would consider the moral position and also the utilitarian one. What I would deem immoral is selecting a candidate based on something along the lines of “This group has faced systematic injustice and discrimination, and is held back by patriarchal power structures so we have a hiring policy which seeks to redress this imbalance” That’s not meritocracy. The reason I called you a narcissist is because you often tactically seek to discredit and character of those you argue with rather than debate the point. You have a long track record of doing this, and it’s well documented as a feature of machievalian aspects of narcissism. So it’s not a “big word” it’s a direct response to how you’re conducting yourself. Hopefully we can agree on the first point at least. Daddy issues comment is because I find it hard to fathom why you’d support discriminating on gender against anyone and my guess is that if you’re quite gleeful about this happening to either gender it’s probably due to poor relationships with that gender.
