Wait, so you're moaning you want to be charged more? Are you ok? Good point! But perhaps this week's ticket fiasco wouldn't have occurred if the tickets hadn't been so cheap. How many regular fans will now miss out as they didn't get tickets on Monday evening. It would have absolutely happened because it was proper divvy.

I really do think it was what the club requested! Ticketmaster getting slated here unfairly IMO. If you read the ticket announcement on Monday all tickets were put on sale - but with season tickets holders being reserved until Wednesday. There was never any intention of putting a general sale later. It's also quite telling that the club quietly changed the statement relating to the ticket fiasco on their website. Original statement: Edited statement: It's like North Korea at the club these days. I expect the author of the first version will not be seen by his or her family for several years.

I was born on the Redland/Cotham border in a 4 storey (1863) Victorian building, all my family are working class. When my Grandad came over from Ireland in the 50s with my mother a babe in arms he worked his backside off and bought it in the late 60s for cash......yes we as a family worked hard so don't ever ever ever say i/we lived off mummy and daddies earnings! That comment has p1ssed me off no end Fair comment he used a massive assumption and not all people from those areas are privileged. However : I agree with his broader comments about accessibility. We are a divided society and many would argue its getting worst . For the lower working classes there as been little progress from all political sides. People in poorer areas are not benefiting from the so called trickle down effects and things seem to be as bad as post war. Of course you need to live in those areas to fully understand the deprivation and lack of social mobility for many. Sadly money and class is as big in our country as much as race gender and disability rights ( which I support ). It's common knowledge privileged people can choose the best schools : fast track health waiting lists and buy property for their kids . Social mobility in my opinion is at standstill and like I said all political parties are to blame . P.s I'm from high rise living in Barton Hill and attended St.George school aka City academy. PS I was brought up on a Council Estate in Eastville (same road as Jamie Cureton) and I am well aware of the social struggles of the 70s upwards........ but I do respect what YOU are saying

Dropped the club an email at 1740, had a call at 1840 and a Thatcher's ticket by 1847. Cracking response from the club, can't fault them, thanks to Ethan and Chloe for their attention and consideration. If you think this is bad, try getting Liverpool tickets (if they get through that is) I remember the last time, it was hell, even as a season ticket holder at Trumpton, it was hell and relied on a friend of a friend to obtain one. Myself and my mate were students at the time. We went to the shop in Kingswood and asked what we needed to buy tickets for the Twerton Game. She said season ticket holders only. We asked if we bought season tickets could we buy tickets for Liverpool, she said yes. So we immediately bought two season tickets. Job done for both matches.

Anyway I got ticket for Anfield from the Kingswood office one way or another.

For the previous game at Liverpool a mate from Southport bought us tickets in the main stand. We were sat a couple of seats away from Nick Tanner amongst others. Brilliant view and what a noise the travelling gas made! Even more sureal in some ways was seeing Stuart Barnes of Bath, Bristol and England rugby at the game.

But the draw put a thousand on the gate for out next home game as people thought there would be vouchers.

Not many tickets will be available for Liverpool away even if we progress. Not as many as in the past when Billy ocean scored a cracker.

I didn’t have a season ticket at first as I couldn’t afford one (and having one growing up on the Whitchurch/Hartcliffe borders I’d have got ‘filled in’ at the very least.) My teacher at Tyning Junior got me to take the entrance exam for Bristol Grammar, Catherdral School and QEH - I’m not sure my parents were even aware. I was lucky and got a scholarship.
I went to college in London at 18 (turned down Uni to do a part work part college corse and earn money). That way I self financed. I watched QPR quite often (3rd division) and Rovers every game in London. Gradually managed more away games and after 11 years away moved to Bath as I got a job in Trowbridge (1981). I wasn’t delighted when Rovers moved to Bath - in fact I refused to go and gave my money to the Share Scheme to try and help get us back to Bristol - we are Bristol Rovers, not Bath Rovers after all. Yes, some of us fans have strange principles.
When we moved back to The Mem I was delighted. My in laws lived by the County Ground, I could drop the wife and kids and park there to walk to the ground.
I’ve had a season ticket from soon after that - I had to cancel my Share Scheme membership to manage it.
Monday night was very stressful. I tried to book my ticket for my seat and couldn’t - at first. My mate who sits next to me had got his straight away but I hadn’t logged in the right way apparently. My laptop is set up to automatically log me in and had. I was told I wasn’t allowed a seat. At said mates suggestion (and looking on here) I logged out and then back in by clicking on the little man icon top right. Bingo, my reserved ticket was there and I bought it. Phew.
However, I hadn’t read the email properly and was expecting my 65+ ticket to be £8 (terrace rate). I was charged £15 for my seat. That isn’t too bad really but it is THREE TIMES what I paid for a bigger more comfortable seat at Norwich. Norwich charged us £10 per seat and their home fans £12 per seat (a £2 levy for their Community Trust). Perhaps the low prices contributed to the demand but they are still higher, much higher for some groups, like 65+, than at Norwich.
The people not understanding the point about ‘commitment’ and denying that we all have choice or sniping at others about middle class privilege need to look around imo. I’m lucky, I made good almost by accident but then realised that hard work usually pays off, especially if you focus on what you want from life. I grew up with a lot of mates that went off the rails, I nearly went that way. Others didn’t try, I was lucky and met my wife early days and working together to get a house made sense. No booze or fags for a couple of years, saved all we could. Our choice that some mates couldn’t understand - till much later.
Anyway, hope we do well next week. My wife understands why I will be driving 2 hours each way from a holiday cottage booked Monday to Friday at the start of the season when we didn’t have a midweek game scheduled. I am committed to attend the Rovers games I can. UTG!

Hate to be a pessimist but with injurys and loan players leaving we feel awfully short in the areas Norwich will run us ragged in. Hope I'm wrong and we get our big payday vs Liverpool. That's a bit of an extreme view, Bogarde has hardly played under MT and neither as Woods and he had a shocker when he did at Wycombe. Hopefully LM is now fully fit, Connolly's returned and also seems to be fit so, if needed, that means Grant can play in midfield.

Anfield's new capacity is 61,015 so 15% would be a little over 9150. I'm sure that many Gas would make a good sound if we progress

If we get through all ST holders should be able to get a ticket if they wish as long as it is 1 for 1 and we would have some left over

That is completely in your head aghast, the word used was committed. I even said that I choose my words carefully. Here is a 'gaschat fact' (i know its a fact as I have just made it up): If we lose to a 90+4 goal, it hurts (and is more likely to fu*ck up your weekend) more at the top of this list and less at the bottom. At the ground Watching on telly listening on radio watching sky sports news watching final score jumping onto the web to get the score reading the score in the newspaper the next day If you are finding out the score the next day then the likelihood is that you are doing something else and are distracted by that and so it doesn't really hurt, it niggles but not hurt. When I say hurt, I mean physical hurt. That feeling in your stomach that really makes you not want to talk to anyone for the rest of the weekend. You don't want to go to work on Monday to face the plastic premiership team fans who support Man City who have won again, you certainly don't want to face the laughing sh*thead in your team.

Monday morning? Psssht. Quite regularly I’m down the Mem at 2pm post night shift not long woken up and back to work for another 12hrs straight after the final whistle. In recent times that’s either watching us get absolutely pumped or conceding an injury time winner/equaliser. Now that stings. Fortunately, no 82ers on shift🙌🏻
