I see on Twitter that he is leaving his role with us after 3 1/2 years as First Team Analyst.
Wonder if he will be replaced with all this talk of cutbacks?

Would be nice to see us go out and target a replacement. Head hunt a quality candidate. But that won't happen, we don't even have scouts or recruitment setup fit for purpose.

What does a first team analyst do? I assume he's the stats and figures guy, the one who tells the manager LT's ran himself ragged and needs subbing off but Brown can still manage another 90 mins! Although it seems Lewis was only the Assistant to his elder brother Adam, not sure if that means he's also off or not. |

Funny how the comment about Lewis being under qualified (and therefore no great loss maybe?) wasn’t highlighted on that link, but the club criticism one regarding a different role and no context was…

Every role at the club is under review by Owners Son and I think he wont be happy until he has absolutely shaped things as he wants them to look, he has been horrified at standards and some of the 'key' staff members.
A number have 'left' already and To be fair there are some more that do need moving out - hopefully he sees the value in those that do provide great service.
Wages being offered are really poor and there is absolutely no thought going into searches for talent - ads placed and masses of CVs from hopefuls mainly unqualified helps the HR woman 'justify' her role.

The only signs i get at the moment are a club in run down. The new owners have done nothing yet to justify themselves. They sacked JB with no idea who was going to replace him or his staff whom it was no surprise that most went. The window at the moment is a one way journey and my hopes for this season which were high are now just on getting to 50 points and another season.
As regards JCH the truth is that if we want a top striker on form then we will have to pay in excess of £600,000 whoever we go for and IMO as our record signing dates back to 1989 at £350,000 is it any real surprise that in 2024 you need to play double that to get a proven goalscorer.
We are nowhere near ready for the Championship where to get the sort of quality needed you need to be paying over 2m for a player. Since the new owners came in we seem to be heading back to the tinpot days!

Well West Ham and others are advertising similar roles on one of the links to the job. But let's make out we are different like normal. It doesn't even mention a wage, I expect it will be discussed depending on the person's experience etc. |
