The difference between 12 months and 18 negligible. There's bound to be more clubs interested in the summer- than a trigger finger sale now. That’s not the perceived logic, or everyone would be buying on the cheap in January. That's actually my point. I'm saying January shouldn't be cheap...

I'd have taken £650-£600'000 no problem

For whatever reason let’s be honest he’s not done much this season! Personally 500k bite you hand off

Possibly , it could be a whole load of things or a combination of more than one. Nobody on here seems to know. Anyway if we can get more than £600 k for him with a sell on fee i think that’d be fairly decent business. Still feels "weak" though on our part (once again). Bolton want him. Therefore we can ask for whatever we like; he's under contract. Former POTY and top scorer, one of the highest assists in the league this season. They want him, they can have him, but they have the pay for him suitably. Let's not forget, January is meant to be inflated!! So should arguably be even adding a premium on to the "fair value". Anyone think DMac would be letting him go for £600k? Not a chance. If he was running this sale, we'd easily be getting a £1m+. Anything less than £700k and we've - once again - had our pants pulled down. What players have we let go to cheap in the past, apart from snake?

I think it's reached that stage where it's best for club and player if Aaron moves on. The sooner a deal is done the better so there is a chance of adding to the squad before deadline. Don't want an unhappy player struggling with form having to sit on the books for another six months and £100k plus in wages paid. Hope the deal goes through and Aaron can revive his career elsewhere.

The transfer window is ridiculous. In what other business are you only allowed to trade a couple of months of the year ?

One thing i would mention is that do we actually need to replace Collins?
Jan window is never good value, realistically he's not bringing a lot to the team at the moment and we have similar replacements in the squad already (Brown, Sincs Thomas ect...). Yes i'd love a new striker as I think we've needed one since the start of the season, but if we dont get Smith or whoever then i'm not sure if we're that much worse off but £650k+ better until the summer.

Anything less than £700k and we've - once again - had our pants pulled down. This exactly. My main concern in all this though is whether we sign a replacement. We needed another striker to begin with. Collins going means we need 2 IMO. I have concerns we won't find a replacement in time.

I don’t think we should let him go for less than 750k as I think we can get that in the Summer if he continues to provide assists. How ever if we want big money he’s got to start hitting the net, and from what I’ve seen recently, not convinced xx

Bit of a shame if true, a little competition might have helped drive the price up.

Good point, keep him until the end of the season he’s going to have to get his head right and play to the standard we all know he can to impress any interested clubs and put a few more ££££££s on fee😜

Well we don’t really know what was said between him and Taylor other than what Taylor said in his interview. He’s lost form and confidence- fans are on his back - probably wanted to take himself out the firing line as it was a massive game for rovers on the back of 4 losses especially an awful one v Exeter. So maybe he didn’t feel up to the pressure v Oxford to go again. On the other hand he just might feel it’s best to go and have a complete change as he’s not been able to find his form really for nearly a year. With 3 clubs vying for him - Wrexham easiest as could be big fish and regain his form and confidence in L2 and win another medal. Bolton the most exciting option - massive club and could get promoted to championship but massive pressure on him to perform - or the basket case club Charlton going nowhere - who knows all enough to make your head spin in what best to do
