There you have it. End of potential top 8 finish. All about how close to 9th we can finish now. Hunt must go asap. Hoole...again is not ready for any type of CB role for a good few years yet. Grant shows why he is such a useful player worth having...but never a first choice in any role. We need to be planning for next season now. Out the door. Hunt Wilson Friend Gordon Crama Cox Vale ( unless he is available to sign perm) Sinclair Possible outs McCormick Marquis Martin Brown Connolly Hoole Ward Only Definite keeps Finley Collins Taylor Evans J Ward I will be surprised if Grant is still a professional player next season, it was a slow game today but he was way off the pace. I know the blokes suffered with injuries but he's miles off being fit enough. He actually made it harder for us because he constantly slowed the game down. Maybe a good pre season and he can come back fitter? He's 100% not got the legs to play midfield.

Hit long and hope for the best seems to be the way forward now. Please next game start with at least someone who can run and press opponents defence. Martin is the ideal 30 minute man at the end not from the beginning

Kiss the playoffs goodbye after that MT has work to do in the next 11 days of the window. Not much point doing work in this window now and paying stupid inflated prices, we have more than enough in the tank to stay up and that’s where we are really. Let’s give Mr Taylor the summer to get the ammunition to finally get close to those shithead cants and get us into the championship. UTG!

Not great at all today, but should have got a point at the end. Was right down the line of the penalty appeal and disgraceful to not even give a foul. It looked just inside the box to me. Ref was the same one as Pompey away last season. Joke then and joke now.

We look every bit a side without a settled regular XI. Grant In midfield & Hoole anywhere other than RB just isn’t for me. We’re still wasting chances (first half x3) and didn’t create a single one in the second 45. That I can recall anyway. The absentees are all crucial losses, Wilson, Finley, Ward, the patchwork midfield is killing us. That being said, if we didn’t waste so many chances we’d make life a whole lot easier for ourselves! As would not playing stupid square balls across the back line with Evans showing for a pass through the middle & giving up possession so cheaply & easily.
Our game was summed up late on when LT controlled and then kicked the ball off the pitch, back towards our own goal with nobody near him just as we were mounting an attack with every home shirt up the pitch.
Side note: Second game in 4 days not a single substitute came on & made even a smidge of difference to the game. Worrying stuff.
Have to win Tuesday and stop this rot. 3 league losses on the spin and 0 points in 2024🚮

Clear penalty. I'm losing the will to live with this ref. From watching the replay looked like it was just outside the box. Clear foul though Was outside the box from my view, where I was stood in the East Terrace.

Blimey!
We’ve gone from the best squad for years to culling the entire lot!
We aren’t a million miles from a decent team, but we’ve changed managers and the squad was built to play a certain way and it will need a few tweaks to create a team that favours 3 at the back
People already outing players like McCormick and beefy need a head wobble. What I don’t get though is why return midfield players when you have no one lined up? The midfield today was all wrong.
Season over, but plenty of good players on the books, no need to start saying 80 percent of them need to go!
UTG

Got what we deserved. Disjoined, no cohesion, sloppy with possession, not at it from the first whistle, rusty right hand side, we looked awful.
Perhaps the most concerning is that we were beaten by another poor side.

If the Norwich incident warranted a penalty. This one required the same decision. That referee was a joke from the start to the end. It is blatantly obvious that we are still not getting the rub of the green. Even though Barton is no longer here.

But our lineup today summed up what MT thinks of our forward/strikers at the club. The general team selection was fringe players who haven't played much football all season due to injuries etc but that's all the manager had to pick from with key plays out through sickness or injury but what was alarming was he moved Thomas who has been brilliant at wingback into a strikers role ahead of JM and AC and that says it all for me in that he doesn't rate either of them. We have been used to whole sale changes with players coming and going under Barton and I can see very few of this current team being here at the start of next season under MT.

We could be struggling to stay in it again next season with the clubs likely to come up and down. As I said before our season ended when we failed to sign JCH. No point creating chances if hardly any get put away
