A reflection on managerial appointment

Too early to say. The results and performances were promising when he had a fit squad. Ultimately, right now, he's working with a thin squad that aren't his players (and yes, he's not exactly improved them yet either - no arguments) and evidently, minimal board backing.

I think we’ve got the right manager but he’s not being helped by the club being an absolute sh** show right now.

The club needs to support him with a proper recruitment team and by getting the deals he wants to make done promptly.

He also needs an Assistant Manager. How long has he been here now? A couple of months? Time to back MT.

Maybe spin it on its head, how long with no backing until he gets fed up of us? Lol

Complete revamp required, lets hope the board, owners, back him or else same thing next year.
Thats if we are still in Div 1.

God knows how much money has been reduced from the playing and coaching wage bill since Joey has left.

With the injuries anyone in charge would have suffered, especially with Bogarde, Woods, Clarke and Belly leaving the squad, as they could have "filled in" when others have been injured, rather than players who have lost form, returning from injury too quickly or not fully recovered from illness having to play.

The squad is inherited. If we didn't think the squad was good enough under Joey, it is still the case now.

We made the decision in contemporary time and it had the majority support of the fans....no one was complaining about it close of last year.

Actually, this is his first real big challenge as a manager. There'll be many others.
So we'll see how he copes with this and how innovative he can be.
Previous managers have used their contacts, dipped into reserve/youth set up or made some interesting playing positional changes, so there are opportunities there. He has some experienced coaching staff to draw on.

I don't think Mangham would have had this mouse about him, as well as he came across media persona.

In essence, it's great to say you support the team in times of need when the goings tough, we've traditionally had strength in adversity, but don't take us for fools....some things just aren't good enough and deserved to be called out..
