Heard 1 or 2 to be sold before deadline to pay for Grimsby lad. No names mentioned but for 1 million +. Can only assume it’s Collins as no one else worth that? Gutted if he goes before deadline next week. Crap this season but worth keeping as still a handful Saturday to be his last game probably.

To be fair in his current form £1m would be a great price for us.

Why is there not a separate Conteh Incoming thread? I'm amazed.

Asking price will have put them off but with 18 months to go on his deal the last chance to “cash in”’will be this summer.

Biggest issue is Collins loyalty bonus, he has to forgo this to get a move and the only way usually you can do this is by putting in a transfer request which ruins his legacy with us fans.

Not a chance he’ll play tomorrow if we’re potentially getting 1m for him!

As much as I love Azza, everyone has their best price at the best time
An offer of anywhere near £1 million would have to be considered
If it gets us Conteh and another striker (Sam Smith?) I’d be happy
At the moment our only real CF are Martin and Marquis
If Azza goes we will definitely need at least one in, preferably 2

I understand the current viewpoint of Collins' form but I would be extremely disappointed if we lost him. We have an already faltering attack aside from a 35yo Chris Martin and we're supposedly willing to sell the L1 top creator? Not for me. I'd rather we shift Marquis or Brown (noting and understanding that Collins will obviously have a much higher drawable fee) and get a young, pacey striker in on loan to complement the others.
I think we'd regret losing Collins.

I suspect- the emphasis of this rumour is incorrect.
Rovers do need to start recouping some investment. There will be questions over players with a year to go for sure. I suspect- in January we'll be unkeen to sell. Replacing (purchasing- does appear to be a struggle for us).
But yes- the several players entering their final will likely be subject to bids. And we'll have to consider those bids.

I doubt this is true but if Sam Smith is to be signing here, I would expect we'll see one of Collins or Marquis move on - must have to balance the books where we can.

If we sign Smith, alongside Martin, there is literally no need for Marquis to be here picking up a hefty wage as third-choice 'proper' striker. The likes of Collins, Brown and even Thomas are valuable for their versatility and covering wings/#10 positions whereas Marquis is just your classic out-and-out striker. I'd move him on personally.

Agreed, and we'd then need to be blooding the likes of Greenslade for the last few minutes of matches before the end of season.

Realistically we’re talking Collins, Thomas and possibly Evans and Taylor.
Nobody else we’d get significant money for.

Weirdly out of those 3, id be happiest to sell Collins (for the right money) Taylor will just get better and better and his price continue to rise Evans is too important. Maybe Thomas, but cant see he would get anywhere near that value. Collins, we may be at the point to get the most for him we ever will. Needs to be £1m plus. Hope no-one embarrasses their club and town with a bid lower than that

Agree, Harvey Greenslade is back full time with the first team and Rovers have not let him go back to Truro City who are apparently on daily to get him. A few other clubs in the running for him as well but doing well in training and with a bit of uncertainty of others I think Rovers will wait and see at the end of the window. Would love to see him get his chance and i know he's desperate for an opportunity.
