For the likes of Marshy or Keegan, I'm totally up with this over the past 24 hours or so due to a family bereavement. So I don't respect the cocky comments or being g called a Twat because I did not know ! Marshys comment was clearly a joke. He wasn't actually really calling you a twat. He even gave a laughing emoji to show it was a joke. I suggest you reread your post and a few above it as well as his response.

I'm glad it's not a record fee, would've been a lot of pressure on such a young lad plus that Tillson record is the one constant of my entire Rovers supporting life! UTG

Apparently over £350,000 in instalments. So yes we’ve likely broken that record (at last!) 👍🏾 Sadly it’s not. 300k I believe I don't think it's anything to be sad about. People moan about the money in modern day Football, wages, transfer fees, ticket prices etc. I actually think it's to be admired that we haven't broken our transfer record. Especially when you think of the players we've signed since Tilson. Hayles, Roberts, Ellington, Lambert etc. I don't think it's sad or as embarrassing as people like to think.

I think the latter would be better use imo. (Figures are illustrative only 🙄)

With a few new faces added to the quality we have no reason we can’t end the season strongly. We aren’t going up but we can look to try players like Ward and maybe Greenslade. Definitely need a strong spine, I’m sure MT will prioritise a keeper of our own in the summer, it’s the one position we’ve really struggled with. You could argue it’s the most important one to get right. Outfield players chop and change through the season but you generally only have one number one keeper. NEW KEEPS TAYLOR WILSON CONTEH WARD/FINLEY MARTIN NEW STRIKER I’d be happy if we started to build this spine rather than pay over the odds now for JCH who in my opinion is on the way down. UTG

Didn't anyone read the comments from the Grimsby supporter earlier. He said conteh would be wasted unless we play through the back. We don't anymore since Barton got the sack. Funny how people on here seem to only read what they want to read. We played through the pitch in the majority of games under Taylor. We haven’t gone long ball. Granted In some of the performances recently it hasn’t looked like it because we’ve struggled to put more than two consecutive passes together but other than the pointless dicking about with it in our back line we don’t play that differently to how Barton had us playing , it’s quicker and we look to get it in to midfield without playing 20 passes across our back line but that’s about it. Edit : just read the rest of this thread and a few had already said what I’ve just said, sorry. UTG

Oh no! We are doomed, the ball never touches the floor so how will he tackle a player…. How will he pass to a team mate? Granted he won’t win many high balls but none of our players we have at current who are taller are very good with Ariel duals…. Thankfully there is more to the game that the ball being in the air m. You know what you are getting with JCH though... goals We get that with Martin True, but how much gas has he got left in the tank to continue that?

We get that with Martin True, but how much gas has he got left in the tank to continue that? This season. 22 goals Next season, mainly as a sub, nurturing our new young diamond, he chips in with 12. We go up as champions He then takes on a role as striker coach. Simples UTG

Bless you my friend, the grieving process is never easy and we all make remarks outside our usual behaviour at these times. My thoughts and condolences go out to you at this sad time. Be patient with yourself 👍🏾

I just think it should still be applauded that we haven't If we sign 3 players like Hayles, Roberts and Lambert for the price of JCH, amazing. At the same time it could be Scott Jones, Tom Nichols and Stephan Payne which wouldn't be 🙂 You also know what you're getting with JCH

However, by getting 3 good signing spreads the risk and we aren't 'putting all our eggs in one basket'.
