Very well deserved win. We were gutsy and well organised and fought for everything. Scored some good goals and made Oxturd look very average. Well done to Conteh, ward and Crama who i thought was superb, best game from him so far.đź‘Źđź‘Ź

Save of the season by Ward at the end there and fully deserved his man of the match award which had probably been decided even before that save. A good tough performance by the boys today which was badly needed after we’ve looked a bit weak mentally and physically in the last 3-4 games. We’re 10 points above the drop now if we’d lost today it would have only been 7 and on a terrible run of consecutive defeats so that win is absolutely massive. UTG

We wanted “good young keeper” and now we have him. Well done Jed Ward you bossed that. Well done Conteh, bar one moment you were imposing and composed. He’s a big fella, adds some long overdue muscle to our team. King Conteh…….long live the King.

Btw credit to the gaffer where its due, I thought his tactics and more importantly, team selection, were on point today. It was a good idea to give Ward a run-out and Conteh his immediate debut alongside the return of a host of experienced pros like Wilson, Friend and Finley. We bossed the first half completely. Started slowly in the second up until their goal but a tweak in formation/shape after that and we managed the game very well. Could've scored a few more at the end, too.

Aaron who ? Hasn’t looked interested for a year now and perhaps him not being in the squad and having Conteh who looked to impress was the catalyst for such a tough and determined performance. Glad we’ve got our first signing under Taylor through the door and he’s at last starting to shape his own side together. I think we need at least one striker in even without Collins leaving yet and that’ll really help us push on Going to have a cider tonight to celebrate. UTG.

Twelve points off the play offs. Tall order but plenty of points to play for. Great team performance full of endeavour and spirit. Plenty of quality performances out there. MOM Jed Ward. Delighted for him - he’s one of our own. Are we back and ready to compete, consistently? This is more like it. A few extra signings this week and the hope will be there again. Thanks for making this Saturday night better. Yes there are more points to play for. But rich, up to you, but just enjoy a very good win and an excellent keeper performance by one of our own. Stop trying to turn it into the start of a play off push.its not. You help make this place schizophrenic!! Tuesday showed us that we’re way behind other teams. Exeter were awful but beat us easily. We’ll win some and we’ll lose some before the end of the season. We just need to be pleased we’re looking better than last year and with some strategic improvements we could improve next season. Every time we win play offs are mentioned and when we lose everyone worries about looking backwards. Which tells me what we are, a bog-standard mid table league one team which can, in a relatively poor league one, beat teams at the top but can also slip up against teams lower down. Just enjoy the wins rich! Well done MT today and well done the team after a difficult week. And if Aaron C wants to go let him. He had a great 2022 with us but apart from that…. He’s good but not as good as he thinks he is. Today, special mentions to Chris M, Jed W and Kamil C, a good start. 👍👍👍 UTG!

Great win and some great performances across the pitch.
Finley, crama awesome. Conteh is going to be one of those that goes about unnoticed just doing his job. Exactly what we need
Not sure Ward was mom but good to see as it would give him a boost on a solid performance.
Lovely stuff UTG

Great performance in 1st half, but looked a bit slow for the first half an hour in the second half.
Liking Conteh, does the simple things well and if it allows Evans to play more on the front foot, happy days.
If true about Azza, thanks for the memories and good luck for future. Clearly didn’t need him today.

Would obviously be ridiculous for me to take any credit for the win purely because of creating a virtual forum post but....

I realy hope to come back to you in May and say fair fkn play!

I said a few weeks ago, get Jan out the way and there is a decent run of fixtures to pick up some real points

If some of us rose tinters want to be a bit over optimistic today leave us to enjoy it.
It’s a lot more exciting going to a match with a hope for a playoff push than doing the motions towards an end of season with nothing to look forward to.
I can only speak for myself but it’s a lot more disappointing having nothing to play for for 4 months (unless you’re at the other end of the table) than losing out on playoff hopes when we only had an outside chance anyway

I Think talk of the play offs is unrealistic tbh we needed to pick up 2 points a game on average before that run of three consecutive defeats. To do it now we’d need to pick up an average of around 2.2 points a game. I’m just delighted we won today a defeat would have seen us 7 points off the drop.

Only negative today was Martin sticking the ball in the net AGAIN. Totally and utterly fed up of his antics now.
