Well done Aaron for pushing himself on and developing into the player we know now and potentially beyond.
Credit to the previous management and scouting team for turning a sows ear into a Cheshire cheesy smiling purse, but I've enjoyed and appreciated the good times....good on ya, son!
Ps...the traffic lights on Glos Rd breathing a sigh of relief.

As per the other thread, a lovely parting message.
Aaron Collins' message to our fans:
"Gasheads, what a two-and-a-half years it has been. From scoring that screamer against Oxford in the FA Cup, to that 4-3 win away at Rochdale, and then making history with the 7-0 win on that final day - being a part of getting this club back to League One will live with me forever and I’ll never forget the feeling of being on top of that lamppost on Gloucester Road, celebrating with all of you Gasheads.
Being named as League One Player of the Season 2022/23 was a special achievement, and I'm so grateful it was part of this incredible club. I couldn't have done it without the support of the Gasheads, and the noise you make, week in and week out.
I will forever cherish the memories of playing in the blue and white quarters and hope one day I can be a part of the Gas family once again. Who knows what the future holds.
I'd like to thank both the players and the staff who have been a part of my journey at Rovers. I've made friends for life, and have loved my time here.
UTG
Goodnight Irene. For now..."

One of the best players we have had in a long time. Great at putting dangerous crosses into the box, great turn of pace to turn defence into attack very quickly. Can score all types of goals always willing to track back and help out. Was a joy to watch. Thanks Aaron ,hope you do well at BWFC.

Let’s hope he learns to stay on his feet when he plays against us

Undoubtedly he was loyal to us - he could have scarpered after the wonder season but signed a new contract enabling us to be protected when the time was right for him. He is a great player and with more to come, his form has suffered but our tactics and line ups havent helped him. Thanks Aaron defo a gashead to be remembered for the right reasons. Not sure he could have scarpered Simon, after that season he still had one season left having joined on a two year contract. He signed a new one which presumably upped his wages considerably. No problem, he deserved it. And we have messed him around with our tactics changing. Thanks AC for being part of that promotion team, you were a good player when you stayed on your feet. But your attitude wasn’t the best this season and whilst you may have been frustrated you were paid a fair chunk. Giving 100% is a given for all professionals but you obviously thought differently over the past few weeks. But good luck in the future. UTG!
