At work I am the regional charity co-ordinator and we raise tens of thousands for charities such as Macmillan, Mind, Cash For Kids(giving Xmas presents for families in poverty), the homeless and animal shelters.
As a grandparent, my physical activity extends to giving my granddaughter a piggyback and playing horsey.
The young whippersnappers from other regional office do physical challenges such as Three Peaks, abseiling, ultra marathons and Tough Mudders, so I thought what mental challenge can I do.
I am sure many of you are aware of the Wallis and Gromit Wrong Trousers campaign to raise funds for Bristol Children's hospital.
Well I am going one further and pledging to wear a (apologies for the bad language) City shirt (yueck!) at work AND whilst selling programmes and 50/50s AND whilst watching the Cambridge game on 16 April.
I will post more details idc and hope you donate some spare monies and can show understanding (ie not shout Sheethead at me too much on the day).

Jeez fair play to you , I’d rather go abseiling with my arms tied behind my back and my boot laces tied together than wear that shirt. 👏

I was "challenged" to do this for Macmillan a few years back and paid a hefty amount not to. Fair play to you for this, post a link to accept payment (and a photo) and I'm sure you'll raise a good amount. One of our Sheed supporting regulars on here will I'm sure add it to OTIB.

I wore a City shirt to work for Red Nose Day one year. I pinned a note on the back - "I'm wearing this shirt because Bristol City are the biggest joke in football".

That’s a bit extreme, I couldn't even wear a Bears shirt and I’ve seen them at Twickenham 3 times.

It might seem like a good idea right now but you’ll live to regret it. Sure, it’s a good cause and all but think about what you’re doing. I mean seriously… How about starting a GoFundMe or ANYTHING other than what you’re contemplating? If it’d help you out I’d send a couple of dollars just so you don’t have to lower yourself. I have a teed ‘mate’ who thought it would be good to slip on one my/our shirts when a few of us were away on holiday many years ago. It was a Jelf sponsored shirt which’ll tell you how long ago it was and the reason I can remember it so well is because I have the photo of him wearing it as my signature on every text I’ve ever sent him since I moved here to the states 24 years ago. DON’T DO IT, you’re much better than that. UTG!

Well, it's not quite April Fool's Day yet but I have started a just giving page. www.justgiving.com/page/david-hewett-1710182357313?newPage=trueMods can you add hyperlink (My phone is old and I typed that manually) Of course I had to wear the 90/91 Champions shirt in the photo! So far City have not donated a shirt, but Tom has asked Pete to contact Scott Murray, so who knows. I have a fall back plan as a work colleague is going to lend me his from a few seasons ago. Oh Yatton, thanks for the pledge. I will of course wear your suggested shirt underneath, so the offending item doesn't touch my skin. Any donations will be gratefully recieved. I will also have a cash collection tin at my programme selling point by the Community Trust office at the top of the car park for the next few home games and hopefully the SC matchday shop will also have a collection tin. If you look at wrongtrousersday.org and follow the links you can see why I am doing it. Ps, does anyone have Lance's contact details?
