Need to get Wilson and Hunt off for me. Baggott and Gordon especially have been decent but the other side so weak. Vale completely out muscled too. What a goal tho. Lovely from Brown and Martin did what he does.

Can't believe how well Northampton are doing this season. Makes it even more depressing

James Wilson is clearly hiding today after his gobbing off last week, He should be the one on the ball not baggott (who can’t head a ball further than 5 yards straight to them ) Cowardly performance…

Another physical side who look to play the ball in to space with a quick tempo showing us how to play league 1 football fairing well against our slow paced , backs to goal possession game.
On the odd occasion we have looked to move it quickly with a through ball we’ve looked by far the better side as you’d expect but we’ve played in to their hands far too often in that first half.
Pace and power is needed so badly in the Summer. I like Conteh he’s given us some physicality in midfield but we’re still so slow in almost everything we do with the ball.

Martin almost deserves to go down in cult status for the way he has kept us on the league this year. And he will keep us there.

Gets a lot of stick so fair play to Brown for that flick in the lead up to the goal!! Yeah he’s been useless 95% of the time since he signed but that touch and assist was class and shows that there is a very good technical player there , we just need to see it far more often.

So the players play and the supporters support. It is time for supporters to support the club through this change in playing style. Some on here are so quick to anger. It can’t be healthy for any of us to react so quickly to events outside our direct control. Calm is needed. Events change matches. Seems to be the social media age thing. Only follow headlines, expect immediate answers, expect immediate response, expect immediate results and success. Planning for the future takes time and is not achieved in a few months. Patience needed but a lot of our fans don't have patience. Funny how they gave Barton so much time and a relegation but Taylor has to produce instantly with someone else's team or he has to go.

Martin rescuing us this season. Great addition. I’ve no doubt that without his goals we would be right down there alongside Carlisle. It’s incredible how some people on here said we should look elsewhere in January! Yes we need another striker as well in the summer but Martin will also be a key player next season as well.

I respectfully disagree, I think Chris Martin is thriving off of decent service

This game should have been a training game against the bottom team on a seven match losing run, Whatever the result today something is seriously wrong

It can’t be healthy for any of us to react so quickly to events outside our direct control. Calm is needed. Events change matches. What’s the change in playing style Rich ? The way I see it is all season we’ve kept changing. At times under Barton we went more direct and they were the wins, but all too often we played like we did today in the first 20 minutes of this match , slow backs to goal , no through balls , no pace. And it’s been the same under Taylor. Verses Pompey , Bolton , Charlton , Oxford it was quick and we win but v fleetwood , Burton etc it was a very poor attempt at Tika taka nobody running in to space , constantly passing to players who are marked with their backs to goal going nowhere. Genuine question - how do you see Barton’s style and how do you see Taylor’s and what’s the difference?

Yes we have issues with players out through injury etc I get that....but the hate and frustration regardless is really putting me off. Like most if us here' we got behind the team whatever, sure we mumbled and grumbled on occasions but when those boys walked out the tunnel we gave our all
Need I say anymore!
Back in the late 80's and early 90's when we truly had our backs to the walls
