Maverick player.
Remember him controlling the game at Eastville v Brentford. Don't think he moved more than 40 yards all game but he sprayed passes all over the pitch.

As a kid I can remember certain teams were entertaing to watch on MOTD. QPR, Nottingham Forest, Norwich, Ipswich. Stan Bowles was a great inspirational entertainer.

I remember an away game in the early eighties, we rocked up in Brentford before opening time for the mother of all pub crawls. Getting into our work early in the first boozer , we were closely followed by Stan Bowls who proceeded to do shuttle runs between the pub and the bookies. Lovely bloke, great foot work and magnificent Hair. The only other thing I remember about that day is we lost.
