Ward 8 A couple of great saves and deserved the plaudits at the end. Still needs to strengthen decision making when coming off the line.
Hunt nole Looked like he was wearing lead boots after 30 seconds and not surprised when he went off. Wilson 6 Would have been a higher score but for his sending off Baggott 8 Good solid performance, continues to grow in confidence Gordon 6 Felt like he's improved in the last few games but today he looked suspect in so many situations. No lack of effort though.
Thomas 6.5 Plenty of effort but not quite his day Conteh 9 This young man continues to impress, hardly put a foot wrong and excellent at breaking up the opposition's play. Looked tired again for the last 10-15 minutes but still kept pushing. Evans 6.5 Great to see him back, seemed to lack sharpness but produced a great free kick to make our goal. Sinclair 7.5 Thought he was excellent today, a constant threat down our left.
Brown 6.5 Decent performance Martin 8 Today showed he does much more than just score goals!
Finley 7.5 Some excellent play and great vision Taylor 7 Steady and wonderful to see him back Vale 6 Did OK
Ref 7 A decent performance apart from the bizarre events near the end
Orient 7

Ward. 8. I’ve seen him at Stevenage, Northampton and now Orient. He’s been a bit more assured in every game. Good saves yesterday.
Hunt. NOLE Wilson 7. Did ok until the sending off. Baggott 7.5. Good game. Looked like a decent prospect. Gordon. 7.5. Very composed in defence. Did a lot of work.
Thomas. 7. Did well defensively in the second half. Shame about the air shot in the first. Conteh. 8. Like him a lot. Good signing. Evans. 7 Solid. And an assist Sinclair. 7.5. Great first half.
Brown. 7. Did ok in the first. Martin. 8. What a player. Not only scored but did good defensive work. Chased a lot.
Vale. 7. Not his greatest game for us but still got stuck in. I’d forgotten he was still only 20. Taylor. 7.5. Seemed to win a lot of headers. Finley. 7. Good to see him back. Grant. 7. Did his bit at the end.
Ref. 6. Thought he did ok until the last quarter. But at least he didn’t give them a penalty which is what they were hoping with the stupidity at corners. To sum up the last few minutes of his performance, he failed to spot a great fingertip save from Ward and gave a goal kick. It’s the one on the ITV highlights show.
Orient. 6. Poor first half but better second. They might be better trying to stop wrestling at corners and play properly. I was in their supporters club bar before the game, thanks to my CAMRA membership, and overheard talk of the playoffs. Perhaps they believed their own publicity.
