A Team of Boys defending, playing against a team oozing confidence. Our Defending was bad but 5-0 flatters. We had four great chances plus the pen.
Fine margins! I think today was actually quite helpful for MT. Both In the sorting out who stays & who goes after game 46 with justifications AND laying out exactly what he wants and why to the clubs money men.
From the SC Meeting I sensed the owners wanted all youngsters whereas MT was saying I want a blend with experiance in the squad too!

Just back from the game (live a few miles out of Sheffield). Thought we were exposed for what we are against a team bang in form. We could have scored a couple but we certainly got what we deserved in terms of a heavy defeat.
The rumours around the away end were that certain players aren’t playing for the manager. I don’t know if that’s true.
One thing I will say in well done Aguilera. His cameo was possibly the only bright spark. He was positive, direct and aggressive. He needs to get more minutes.

5 of the previous management team still being paid. Let’s sack Taylor, McAliister and Carlisle, that’s 8 on gardening leave, potentially 9 if we got rid of Friend as well. Bring in another 3 management team, a club with 5,000 season ticket holders is paying a management team of 11/12. He’s had one window and spent only once, the lad Conteh in my opinion will got for 2/3 million in the future………the other 3, Baggott is decent as is Aquilera. Give him the summer window, if it’s like today and some of the results coming October, maybe he is sacked then. Too much hysteria here, some players already know they are not being resigned. Some already are looking for moves back nearer home. Madness to sack a manager again and pay a combined management team of over £1.5 million for the next year. For once we agree 👍. Very valid points you’ve mentioned there. It’s 💩 but giving the man time and the summer is the best option.

Only exciting thing for me about the remainder of the season is seing Brandon Aquilera fully fit and hopefully providing some magic.

So who exactly is not playing for the Manager.
Finley is skipper? Sinclair - hardly. Jevani Brown - played for him before. Loanees? Youngsters?
It's just unsubstantiated rumours...like a lot on forums.

Sounds like he follows TW around, we had loads of ITKers claiming that the new co owners were dodgy but then got a totally different view of them from the Q&A.

Difference between the teams today was clinical finishing and goalkeeping. All the rest was pretty even. You surely are kidding? Don't usually get embroiled in the knee jerk reaction straight after a game win or lose, was at the game today and have to say I thought the same way more or less, I thought the difference between the two teams was their cutting edge up top, we had three very presentable chances first half and failed to score they were absolutely clinical, first goal did result from poor defending from the corner!

They played for him at Fleetwood? MT has said before they can't cope with 3 games in 8 days and also the travelling this week would take it out of them. You have to sense they decided getting a result at Fleetwood would be easier than today, not that they are ever going to admit to that publicly.

I still thought they were dodgy. They'll be with us for less than 10 years (if we last that long). Whether he follows TW around or not is irrelevant. Maybe he would still be here if it wasn't for the bullying? Maybe Josh Stokes would be here too?

It’s hard to see a massive squad clear out leading to a good season. We should have made an effort to sign a couple more permanent players during the past window - the more coming in completely fresh in the summer will just delay the squad jelling. Conteh looks a great signing but I never got the point in signing kids on loan for just 3 or 4 months, plenty of benefit for the parent club but very little in it for us. I'll start it off Sonny Cox striker at Exeter, swop him for Jevani Brown, release all those out of contract, and have some proper pre season friendlies, some of the players just ain't interested. Raid League 2 clubs for more like Conteh. Ward C Taylor Conteh, Ward, Evans LT Martin Loads of work to be done. I fear there is going to be too much change and the chances of it being a successful season are quite low. Someone will hopefully give me a load of examples where a huge turnover of players has led to success at our level (would obviously be easier if the owners chucked a lot of cash at it but is that likely to happen?). Trying to be more positive - I’m looking forward to the 2025/2026 season. I’ve a feeling that it will be our year 😁!!!

FIRST FIVE COMMENTS FROM IMPS FORUM ON PLAYER OF THE MATCH
(1). Lukas Jensen. Would have been 3-3 at half time if not for his saves in one on one situations
(2). Has to be Taylor. In the right place at the right time. Very busy, great finisher, after a dodgy start in his career with us , closely followed by Jenson, who had his best game in a Lincoln shirt, in my opinion and fully deserved his 17th clean sheet.
(3). As above Taylor for me. Equally what has been said without Jensens saves it would have been 3-3 at half time. Not much between them
(4). jensen, great 1on1 save at 1-0, that was a game changer. and 3 or 4 more at 3-0.
(5).Jenson for me, taylors goals are good but Jenson's contribution kept them out of the game
WORTH CONTEMPLATING.

Could cope with going to Cheltenham though, the bloke needs to man up and manage them, or get out.

All you naysayers, tut tut. He's the Messiah. After all, we've had 2 clean sheets in the last 4 games. Oh yeah, we've scored 1 and conceded 9. Go Matt. 🏴☠️ The only decent player on the pitch was his signing ( Conteh) . Happy to give him the first 6 months of next season. Am not for one second suggesting he should be sacked, neither do I think he's a very good manager either. It's Rovers...we have the occasional decent manager and occasional decent season. As for Conteh, he's great. Agreed.

Can I ask if you have a job and career? Imagine where you work, your business is taken over by new owners and they let everyone know that they are bringing in fresh blood and getting rid of loads of people, what do you think the morale will be like? But it’s not all his fault. For the record I'm retired, but I've been through the scenario you describe several times. And I gave of my best on each occasion until the axe fell. Now can I ask you a question? How do explain the wins we've had against good sides under Taylor? Bolton away, Pompey home, etc.. I think the interview was just before we announced ST’s price etc, the wins you mentioned were before this.

Give it a rest They’ll be gone soon then. But this is more about you being ITK and stirring. [br He’s a proper 💩 🏠 is our Roady 😂 Interesting Percy says I’m stirring, Yatton says I talk some sh**, both 💩🏠’s because it’s interesting the manager said what I said at 16.10pm today, “some of the players are not having him”………now jog on lads, if you don’t like hearing the truth then don’t read my posts 👍 MT: "How many games have we got left? Eight games of football still. Our supporters have come a long way and spent a lot of money in relation to today. "It's clear for me in terms of not only what I'll be asking but I'll take some of those questions out of the equation and if I don't think that some are fully in and 100 per cent in then they won't train with us. "I've never been a manager to banish players from the training ground. I've obviously inherited players not at the training ground which is such a strange situation but it gives me a bit of an understanding of what happened previously. If the players aren't fully in then there's no point them being around." I always tell the truth.

Manager wants a change. Wow ! What insight you have 🙄 Only pulling your plonker before you have a forum meltdown. I’m sure Taylor will see what we all can , massive holes in the squad. More experience needed in defence, more pace needed in attack and another playmaker in the middle . UTFG !

It doesn’t get any better, they should know I post the truth, I’ve done this since the day I said the players turned up with no one to take training. Problem you have is some don’t like l hear the truth, it affects them mentally, they would rather not know but MT confirmed what I said just after half time. And the best of it, some of the players, they got their mate the sack and now are not trying at all for the club and manager. We have a serious homesickness within the squad, living away from family from mid July is tough, I said we needed players and a manager who were not commuting or staying away midweek. Get to 52 points and get the likes of Greenslade back and playing, all the kids. I am not saying anymore.

I'm afraid I don't see the connection between announcing ST prices and players not playing for the manager. The owner said we are having a clear out and bringing the squad age down. That affected Wilson who basically got sent off on purpose, told us to F Off at Northampton away. Hunt, Sinclair, Finley, you sign up your captain again if you want him. Marquis, It’s why we only gave Martin 6 months, just a few here basically told they are not wanted next season in Feb, that’s when his interview was.
