Can we do better in the next month than we did in the last EIGHT games of the 2022/23 season?
At this stage last season our league record was:
Played * 38 * , Won * 13 *, Drew * 9 * , Lost * 16 *, G.F. * 51 * , G.A. * 60 *, Points * 48 *.
We then ended the season with a whimper by only gaining 5 points from the last eight matches.
Our current league record is remarkably similar to the 2023/34 season at the same stage:
Played * 38 * , Won * 14 *, Drew * 8 * , Lost * 16 *, G.F. * 48 * , G.A. * 57 *, Points * 50 *.
With five Home games left out of seven after today can we possibly reach 60 points?
We ought to be able to beat the 53 points total from last season.
If we can reach 60 points then we will finish around 13th.
Last season we ended 17th because we failed to win any of our last seven league games.
Playing for pride, points and position is a priority in the next month.
