So Jamie White turned down £700 to join Rovers, I thought we'd stopped offering big contracts? LOL Sadly, the Conference is sounding like a joke of a league compared even to Div 2. Sadly the standard of football (certainly in the top 10-14 teams) is quite good, the competition is run with an iron-fist (unlike the Football League) and money talks - meaning if five teams can spend a lot more than you then you'll need a lot of luck to finish ahead of them... Oh, and completely off topic, but I'd love a Friday match away at Dartford Finnish Gas...so I could spend the late evening at one of my favourite nightclub nights in the country, SOAP Dartford! |
