Didn't want to derail the wishlist thread so made a fresh one.
I was relatively early in my supporting career so can't remember much about Moussa - does anyone know the story of how he came to sign?
Got a vague memory of a Norweigan called Rune Johansen who did a similarly bad impersonation of a footballer around that time and disappeared after one appearance.
Feel free to use this thread to discuss other random signings

Marcus Andreasson was a random one. Looked to have something about him, but struggled to settle in the country and returned back to Sweden. After a brief spell with a club in over there, he surprisingly returned to Rovers and then rather unsurprisingly lasted just a matter of months. Ended up playing in the top flight of Norway and Belgium and represented Sweden at U21 level. Always wondered what might have been with Nigel Pierre. bristolrovers.fandom.com/wiki/Nigel_Pierre

Telling that his sub appearances saw Jason Roberts and Mark Walters leave the field for him. And he was also replaced by Nathan Ellington. No wonder we were having a good season. This current crop are light years away from that squad

Couldn't get it on any further Yes, remember him well. Not least because I worked for a Huddersfield based company, and a colleague there asked about him. Bob had played for Huddersfield, but, my friend assured me, had recently taken time out at Her Majesty's pleasure. We were his attempted comeback. Obviously he did not recover his fitness.

We certainly signed some waifs and strays during that period of trying to exist. Remember mark John's from bristol Manor farm in the team on one Saturday. Seemed if you were walking past with a pair of boots you had a chance

I looked up Bo Henriksen after he was on one of Keith Brookman's recent posts. He made 4 appearances for us in 2004. Turns out he's gone on to have a pretty successful managerial career. He had a year at Midtjylland where they finished 2nd in the Danish Superliga. Then 2 and a half seasons with FC Zurich where he took them from bottom of the league to 4th and drew with Arsenal in the Europa League. Now he's at Klopp's old club Mainz in the German Bundesliga

Stephane Leoni - I was at Rotherham to see his only goal for the gas in Jan 1999.
A full back who made 45 appearances for Rovers between August 1998 and May 2000.

I went to watch a French 2nd division match at Brest v Metz while on holiday in Brittany in around 2007. Stephane Leoni was playing for Metz!

Stephane Leone was in the same ward at Frenchay hospital as my stepfather in the late 90's. He had been injured while falling through a glass panel at his house and was badly lacerated on his back/shoulder. Don't know any more - my French is very limited!

He was very decent. Remember he tripped and fell through a glass door or something. The ladies liked him, I seem to recall.

He was good too! Good goal ratio, us made a few for the Duke yet apart from the Latvian they were not the best team ever.
