Far play to the club encouraging fans to attend the pre-season matches this summer but £250 a night with no hotel transfers (or flights) seems a bit expensive? Surely that’s the Penthouse suite ? I’m happy to rough it in the closet behind the Boiler room. Just need a bucket and somewhere to throw down my bivy bag.

One thread stating the owners have no money to move us forward and we need to splash the cash Another here saying we should stop spending. Love gaschat Almost the summer!

Just seems another example of "its just what other clubs do".
I don't think it is value for money when they can get pre season/team bonding in the West Country.
Good job they recently signed that agreement to not increase the club carbon footprint by not undertaking unnecessary air travel.

Good job they recently signed that agreement to not increase the club carbon footprint by not undertaking unnecessary air travel. Can you just imagine if the club did that ? The owners would be accused of being cheapskates - not investing in the club etc. I know nothing about the hotel but can tell you that I was quoted double that for a reasonable hotel in London for a 3 night stay . This is just yet another excuse for certain people - who never had any intention of going - to have a good moan . What will these guys do if Taylor turns the club around and we give it a real go next season?

Try and find a hotel in peak season that's less than that sort of money. I recently had to stay in a ramshackle hotel in Llandudno and that was £180. It was so bad that at 2am I drove to the local premier inn to see if they could help but that was going to cost the same for effectively 5 hours sleep. Edit: Just read the deal, it's also an all inclusive hotel so no spend on beer or food. That's pretty reasonable I'd say.

Hotel Atismar eight miles from Albufeira in Quarteira is £997 for 5 nights or £200 a night. All inclusive. I'm not arsed, folk can pay what they want. Oh, and very daft not booking a chain hotel in the first place.

What a load of crap not trusting our owners over the prices and hotel quality. £250 night all inclusive for two people seems like a very good price in July( high season). If gasheads don’t like the price and want to go sort something out for yourself and as for those not wanting to go , why worry about it.

Actually, technically it’s blue until it’s oxygenated . . . Not true I'm afraid, it's red no matter how much oxygen is in it.

OK OK, I stand corrected. It appears blue in the veins due to the red portion of white light being refracted away by skin, fat and keratin. Bloody science . . . 😡

Went for the first time last year, terrific place.
