After being a season ticket holder for 25 years, unfortunately the next few days will have a big bearing on my engagement with the club despite having renewed our East Stand season tickets for next season. I have got to the point where it is a chore and I am basically going to spend time with my father and take my 6 year old son who is falling in love the game.
It’s so draining to hear and read the constant infighting around Joey, this has to stop or we will never get away from the idiot. Just because someone is anti-Taylor (which I strongly am), does not make somebody pro Joey. On Taylor, the bloke is just so dour and especially after last night come across as tactically inept IMO. It is belittling for him to constantly be calling the fans out (heavy shirts, footballing brains etc) when he has been here 5 minutes and not done anything. He is sucking the life out of the club and players who are good enough (Evans, Taylor, Luke Thomas, Ward maybe even Martin) who have all fallen off of a cliff since xmas. I’ve said it before but I feel you need to be of a certain fit to manage this club and Taylor just isn’t it.
For me, he has to be gone this morning or we risk what could be a shambolic summer which costs us years to unpick. If he stays, that for me will be the real show of intent from the owners and will crystallise their total lack of football awareness. Lots of decisions to be made which will have consequences for many I feel. If it wasn’t for my boy, I would probably have stopped already and like last night- the continuation of the current set up will see crowds continue to dwindle. Sad times.

A lot of people from all points of view have either got to breaking point or are incredibly close. Ultimately the actions of one man in February 2021 has set the club on course for this moment. I find it quite baffling that he and others don't cop more stick on here. WAQ's last appointment was the most divisive in the clubs history and saw one person ultimately take over the whole football part of the business and destroy it from within. It was built in Barton's image and was made to break when he left. The appointment of Taylor has frankly been poor, the length of time it took was embarrassing and the season has been saved pretty much by the league being appalling. The club has stagnated over the last 8 years, there's been very little improvement for supporters. The South Stand was the bare minimum that should have been achieved in the AQ tenure and, he didn't manage to finish it while sole owner.
For me that decision in February 2021 was the sliding doors moment, nearly every argument since and our current path can be traced back to that absolutely idiotic moment.

I think we may look back on Taylor as someone who was just there to break up the post Barton era, setting things up for a new manager to have a proper clean slate.

Only two people can heal the divisions whithin the club right now, and they are the majority shareholders. I just don’t have any confidence they have either the will or the ability to do so. We basically have the Kuwaiti equivalent of Jon Lansdown running the club now, without either Daddy’s money or enough English football knowledge. Of course hell will have to freeze over before us as fans actually got off our asses and organised something together. As per usual.

Whilst none of us are happy about what is happening on the pitch at the moment, there seem to be clubs in a far worse off position than we are at the moment when it comes to finances and owners. I want MT gone but organising protests against the owners as you seem to be suggesting is more than a little premature in my opinion.

Simple fact is we hear very little from them or our CEO these days. We as fans are at loggerheads with each other primarily due to the scouse narcissist and our President trying to satisfy his every whim. I do think that there should be more transparency from the club, but also the SC needs to be more active in terms of representing us.

I don't think this is about protests, it's about organising proper communications and the ability to raise grievances from supporters to the ownership. The SC holdings have been diluted to a point of basically zero value, the people that have been on the board representing supporters have either been yes men or sidelined. There is no representation. We've essentially had a dictatorial system since around 2006. Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.

That is what I read that line to be implying as I am not sure what else as fans we can organise so apologies if I have got the wrong end of the stick. But agreed, we have heard very little from the board during what have been trying times to say the least and is a time when we need some clear direction and leadership.

Totally agree about Barton's appointment and now he is tearing us apart from the outside and making each subsequent appointment look like a scapegoat. Do not underestimate how much influence he still holds over us. Until everyone accepts this BRFC will be broken and unfixable. If MT is sacked the same problems will continue until Barton's influence has been removed.

It's easy to forget former Wasserman employee Eddy Jennings was brought in by Wasserman represented Joey Barton who as a team went to sign Wasserman representatives Jordan Rossiter, Sam Finley, Antony Evans, Jevani Brown, Harvey Saunders, Sion Spence, Lewis Gibson, Josh Coburn, James Connolly, Tristan Cramer, Mark Hughes and Lamar Bogarde. Don't get me wrong, Wasserman is a big agency but, come on.

Since Coughlan left abruptly, Garner, Tisdale, Barton, Taylor and their versions of BRFC have all largely failed to get their Teams to perform adequately during their respective tenures. Barton produced a Welcome purple patch which resulted in promotion but for the most part he was mediocre. Wael, initially and the current owner are not hands on operators spending a lot of the time out of the Country. I believe neither have put their stamp firmly on the Club and perhaps they have little idea or inclination to do so. Trusting the Club to proxies is not a satisfactory or ideal way to operate and important issues may go unresolved (while the Cat is away). We are angry at the way things have gone over recent years but Al Saeed may be completely relaxed about the current situation because we are most unlikely to be relegated and he may be confident that Taylor may produce the goods after a re-build. Taylor to be replaced is the Owner's decision and if we shout loud enough he might just listen.

The only thing the owners will take notice of, is voting with our feet !!! That is in progress now judging by the crowd last night 🤔💙

Abdullatif suggested at the recent Q&A he was working virtually full time at Rovers, what evidence have you got he's spending a lot of time out of the country?
