Reading fans last night
South Stand and East Terrace
Not my cup of tea
We do NOT want to allocate a greater number of tickets for AWAY supporters.
If you were there last night you will know exactly why it is a barmy suggestion.

Idea is to shut them up by turning up to play.

If we were half decent on the pitch we wouldn't need to worry about extra tickets for away fans as we could sell them ourselves

It annoyed the hell out me. But I've done it a few times. They turned up in numbers, gave their team loud vocal support, and their team gave them something to be loud about. Accept it. Let's hope our team soon reverses that.

Think the new stand will encourage a few more to travel but not as many as the fact it’s easy pickings at our gaf. Just been a horrendous season with very few highs.

I’m not sure what this post is about. Are you complaining they made more noise than us? They brought a load of fans, won 2-0 and effectively stayed up as a result. We were sh**e and had nothing to cheer with a very low attendance. Of course they made more noise and if the roles were reversed we’d have done the same. I’ve been to some cracking away games where Rovers fans provided all the atmosphere - it was commonplace in the conference season.

Reading are guilty of reducing away numbers themselves and it hasn’t given them a good reputation. Eventually that south stand will be an away end when (if?) the rest of stadium development is done so we better work on our own home atmosphere.

Easy answer is to let the away fans fill what they can of the ground up, then shut them up by turning them over. Or maybe at least play like a pro football team and we could fill it up ourselves In reality we gift wrap 3 points for them, like we do for many others. That was only Readings 4th away win and they were 2nd bottom of the away form table for the season. Yet they looked 10x better than us. Why? Easy to be vocal when 1 up after 8 mins and in total control, when was the last time we scored early?
