The club accounts are being processed at Companies House, so will be up on their website any day now. Thought that I'd start the "matchday" thread, so that we're good to go as soon as they land.

I'll predict a £5m loss and several issues hidden by the fact they are simplified accounts and not full details.
Either way, they'll be many concerned but still calls on other threads to have a greater staff turnover (new management, players, etc) and spending on the stadium and The Quarters.
As always, it's those due next year and the year after that which will tell us what the new owners are truly thinking.

Spot on If the "professional" and "outsource everything possible" model installed by TG, isn't working, surely some outside the box thinking is required. Isn't the definition of stupidity doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results. We can't go back to the ragbag Rovers, feeding on scraps and relying on volunteers and hand outs, but some sort of middle ground maybe the way forward. We have to realize where we are - a middle of the table division 3 side, make sure we never go to division 4 again and just enjoy the brief sorjoins (don't know who to spell it but sounds like a good word!) to the championship - if they ever happen!

Sadly there are too many below average jobs worths in roles at the club who have added to wasted club monies through poor decision making without any repercussions.
Think it’s time for Gorringe to move on along with Head of HR and a few others… New ideas and true quality personnel needed back stage if club is to properly build some foundations.

Will the Collins fee will appear in next years accounts? Yes, the cut off point for these accounts is 20 June 2023. I would expect to see that the number of staff employed has reduced in the next set of accounts.

Just remember this season a certain someone created our 'best ever' squad which included a fee for Connor Taylor.
Don't think the fee for Aaron Collins will paper over many, it any, cracks.

Just learned from that Post article that we paid a fee for Rossiter. Money down the drain.

Can you list what the Head of HR has done wrong to warrant their dismissal, aren't they also trying to act as Club Secretary?

I can't recall anybody complaining when we signed Taylor? Assuming we're paying his fee by installments then only 50%(?) of the fee will appear in next year's accounts.

Scary thing is - these accounts relate to last season not this season. This is why I’m not too worried about a reduction in budget of 25%. We have clearly been living beyond our means

Do these accounts include any expenditure on getting the stadium up and running? Fruit market? South stand?

We have clearly been living beyond our means I think the budget reduction may turn out to be a good thing. It will encourage us to think about getting value out of our transfer business and finding players that have sell on potential. The blank cheque approach on established players at or past their primes clearly hasn’t worked.

Do these accounts include any expenditure on getting the stadium up and running? Fruit market? South stand? I doubt we spent a great deal just attending meetings about the FM, as it doesn't sound like it got as far as drawing up plans etc? The costs of the new stand will be in next year's accounts. Although you have to assume they'll be covered by the £3m loan the club have taken out. The big concern is how much we've incurred on players wages and employing two sets of management/coaching staff. Wael was clearly spending well beyond his means and if the Al Saaeds hadn't come to his rescue, we could well have been heading for Admin once his money eventually ran out.

Or speculation? I’d have expected that the June 23 accounts included at the very least architects drawings and groundworks which I expect aren’t insignificant costs.
