I'm a bit thrown by MT's comments about putting his best XI out today. Not good for McCormick or Brown which is no surprise. But Connor Taylor and Conteh out of the starting XI? And Jed Ward who has just been given a 5 year deal? His best side at that moment in time. Your ‘best’ side changes multiple times due to many factors and form , injuries etc .

No one is happier than me to be proved wrong, I predicted 0-2 we won 3-1!! I cannot understand how someone can want the gas to lose, and say come on to DC in the same post though!! My predictions like most on here are a bit of fun trying to gage the mood of the moment, the injuries etc etc not to wish the opposition well and their manager, might as well become a sheed

And Jed Ward who has just been given a 5 year deal? I sense that was more aimed at the likes of Hoole, Connolly, Brown & McCormick, who've all been given more game time than they warranted recently. Let's hope this continues and most of them are told to find new clubs this summer. Taylor is becoming a bit of a concern as his confidence now seems shot. Whenever Wilson leaves the field we can't defend to save our lives. Ward is clearly one for the future, rather than next season's No 1.

It was a strange comment but I get his frustration too… I thought Hoole has done ok but the other three truly need to find new clubs in the summer.

It was a very weird thing to say, I felt implied he wasn’t being allowed to make his own decisions? Blaming others for his poor run? Surely not true - he’s in charge right? If not, who was telling him to play a team he didn’t want to?

Just got back.. From stop start iFollow.
It looked like our team with full potential v our team last time out!?
Well well well, you play your strongest team and hey presto!? ....you get a positive response!? Who would have thought it...?
It kinda makes the last few matches where presumably we haven't played our strongest available team, a bit of a joke on those paying and travelling Gas fans.... because not everyone lives in BS7?
MT comments..... what a plum.
Really liked some contributions today. Scotty was immense and a constant threat. Scored a record breaking goal and finished well.. My m o m.
Baggy looking like the stable defender we've needed all season, added a goal to his CV and hit post too.
CM worked hard and his timely header set up the assist for 2nd goal.
And of course, welcome back, Rossiter.
LT just loves running at them. Nice assist or two . Wing back? Ok for a few minutes, but his best position is attacking wing play.....so the formula was simple all along, MT, play players in their rightful natural positions and balance the team out!?
Also, think about playing 2 up front at some point..(?)
Cheltenham were poor. Heads went down on the first goal. DC has worked a miracle just to get them into the running for relegation escape, but they're slump in form at this critical time and a horrendous last couple of matches might prove too much.
At least he can dust himself down. And take the lesson you can't have your snake and eat it... 🐍
Well done MT for a regulation win, but for me over all, the jury is very much out.

How good were Joeys boys yesterday, dear o dear Jordi Rossiter how we have missed him, he ran the midfield for 55 minutes, making big tackles, directing proceedings before going off with what looked like another injury (lets hope not), and then there was Anthony, "joey bartons man" captain marvel, he was sensational (apart from his scuffed penalty), sprayed the ball about with an aplomb; it will be a travesty if he decides to go back to his native North West, unfortunately thems the breaks. Special shout out to Scotty Sinclair, quite probably his swan song moment, that said he looked and played like he had borrowed a younger mans pair of hamstring muscles, as he genuinely, since his returned to the club, showed a real turn of pace, scored a goal and should have had a second. That said CTFC were terrible and BRFC completely put them to the sword, a great job done.

He's gotta go this summer for me, will be a massive gamble to keep him on. A gamble that has proved to be a bad one this season and cost the manager his job.

We were everything we haven't been in the previous games, the contrast was unbelievable. We played at twice the intensity we have been, you could see Cheltenham tactics, they tried to keep the game high intensity, like a derby game almost. Perfect tactics to beat us normally. Don't underestimate how difficult a game that was, They are fighting for thier lives and it's a difficult place to ho and play football. Whether the difference was Rossiter? You can see he's a leader on the pitch, talking, organising, leading by example. The rest of the players seemed to follow his lead. I know he's not many peoples favourite but Wilson had a good game, as well as Baggot, obviously Rossiter, Sinclair and Evans, penalty miss aside really was a class above anyone on that pitch.

Hardly getting carried away with 1-3 win at Cheltenham Town, who are a very poor team this season.

Do you spend your whole life with a big dark cloud over your head, as that's the impression you give from your posts.

Was anyone else at Twerton yesterday to see torquay? As you will well remember, they dropped out the league the same day as us. I've been as dissappoited as anyone this season after all the hype from Barton etc. But if you'd seen torquay yesterday you would count your blessings we are in the 3rd division and not facing relegation from a division bath city are trying to get out of. We obviously should be doing better but boy it could be alot worse.
