I think so. I’m not convinced he’s actually injured.
He was playing with kids with the community trust the other day

When interviewed a couple of weeks ago I thought that he was resigned to not being here next season and just going through the motions!!! Shame as when on form he’s a great player but when his head is not in it he’s a liability!!!

I think that his post Lincoln interview demonstrated that he didn’t necessarily see eye to eye with the manager and the mention of a change to the routine that allowed northern based players to train nearer to home probably highlighted that his days are numbered . One can understand why he now wants to see his days out without risking injury but we hope that he will get a cameo over the next couple of games so that the fans can at least acknowledge his efforts in the past

I think he will stay up north.
Agree he deserves a send off as he has done a lot for he club. With Ward injured you would think he could start on Tuesday and get subbed after the hour mark and get applauded off.

Change to the routine that allowed northern based players to train nearer to home, what the hell has been going on, what a joke. Is it any wonder the manager can't get a tune out of some of them.

Or why some of them play like they're strangers that have not trained together - a comment made many times this season.

Agreed, think he will move closer to home, but disagree with those saying he doesnt care. He is a professional and looked hurt by those accusations. Good luck to him, when he played well, so did we. But probably best for both if we say goodbye at the end of the season.

Just another unproven Gaschat fact. no its not. MT mentioned it in one of his interviews. He said that some players trained away from the rest for part of the week because they are based up north.

No wonder they’re watered off but MT has done the right thing and they shouldn’t have committed to a southern team if they can’t hack the travel.

Unbelievable that this was allowed to happen. Agreed - its total negligence of the highest order, Im not even convinced the top European stars make such demands. Someone made a great point in the last few days that the minute Barton left things would unravel for whoever took over. Mangan was a sticking plaster that allowed the poor behaviours to continue because it was easier to do so. Strong character needed and we have that in MT - Needs our support now though. Not MTs fault in any way but things starting to emerge now showing just how big a job he has had, to try and turn things around. I will be glad to see a good number of these selfish Offensive moved on.

On Finley, I'm not convinced he's consistent enough to be a L1 player. Reminds me a lot of Ollie Clarke, wherein he'd be superb for a 5 game run, then flatter to deceive for the next 15. Put it this way, I think he'd be pretty straightforward to replace. Be nice to give him a good sendoff though, I do appreciate what he did for us in L2 and last season.

Can't believe his name wasn't spelt as "Finely" on the thread title. RIP Gaschat

Sure, probably his most consistent season, and the team as a whole were in a good flow, but he still wasn’t particularly outstanding that year. The three seasons following he was incredibly frustrating to watch.
