Just thought I'd pop back to say congratulations on getting that monkey off your back at the weekend. TBH I'm relieved for you - must have been torture. All the best tonight.

If the players work together as they did on Saturday it could be a very good night.
Taylor in for Wilson... Conteh starting for Ward...Hoping Jordy will be ok and good to go again .... delighted to see him on Saturday an incredible effort to get back again.
Think I read that Jed could be back as well.
Ward
Hunt Taylor Baggott Vale
Conteh Rossiter
Thomas Evans Sinclair
Martin
Home win or maybe an entertaining 2-2 ... We shall see!!

Do we really need two DCM's and one forward in a home match with Cambridge? I'd put Evans alongside Rossiter(if he's fit enough) or Conteh with Aguilera behind Martin.

I’m not sure Rossiter will be up to back to back starts in four day period after 18 months out with what is clearly a chronic knee problem.

I’m not overly confident tonight tbh, a good win Saturday was made to look better by an absolutely dreadful Cheltenham, who I thought were the worst team we have played this season. Cambridge likely to be a much tougher ask, so it will be interesting to see how we perform, they will be keen to pick up a point and fancy themselves getting it against a team like us out of form.
Think it will end evens. 👍🏾

And surely shouldn't be considered for playing two games in a week moving forward anyway? Whether we agree a new contract or not, in future he will need a bespoke training programme designed with him as an individual and his injury record in mind.

Hoping for a win but depends which Gas turns up. Think Matt has had a harder time than he expected, no doubt he will get rid of the problem players in the summer, and hopefully we can kick on next season.
Not going to go overboard, or have a meltdown at new signings until I've seen them play.
Think this has been a tiring season and will be glad of a rest.

It’s hard not to be confident. The team worked their socks off on Saturday. No reason to think that this attitude will not continue.
I would love a winning finish to the season with performances to match. Looking at the celebrations on Saturday, this team seemed have turned the corner.
I see another game where we perform as a team, work hard and create opportunities.
On that basis keeping a clean sheet would be great and a 3-0 victory to send team and gasheads home happy.
Bring on the close season.

I agree Topper - was just trying to guess MT .. Would far rather see Brandon start in a forward looking role. Evans + Conteh with Brandon slightly ahead linking with CM is a good shout.

Cambridge took a couple of hammerings on the road in March at Lincoln and Reading, but followed that up with a 2-0 win Barnsley.
They've only lost 1 of their last 4 (W2, D1, L1), so are in pretty decent form.
We know we'll be without Wilson and Ward. I think if they're the only changes we have a good chance of a positive result.
However, if we're also missing Rossiter and Hunt - who may not be ready to start 2 games in 4 days - then it might be more of a struggle.
If we only have to make 2 or 3 changes I'm hopeful we can come away with the points.
Same team as Saturday, with the exception of Taylor for Wilson, and either Conteh or Aguilera for Ward.

Get your sun tan lotion out as we're on Severn Beach so you know what sort of match to expect!
Anyone who wants it more will get it.
So, if we stuff Cambridge I'm sure Gary Monk will give them a mouthful.... imagine that? A mouthful of Gary Monk... 🤔
Anyways I digress.... £5.10 is too much for lager in this establishment, I guess we'll have to try another.....oh and the match?
Yea...a bore 0-0 probably. Only 2 to go after this....🥱
Enjoy the eve everyone....*hic*

Ok so this is the official thread then. Same team with Taylor for Wilson and Conteh for Ward If Rossiter cant start, play Evans deeper and start Christina. (I'd rest J Ward for one more then play him in the final 2 games) Last game on iFollow I assume? As Wigan although not 3pm will be on the Sky red button? Hoping for a front foot approach and another 3-1 win Glad to see you have your appetite back. Like your thinking on the prediction, not so much the goalkeeper, Jed for me "he is one of our own" no pressure on him with the Gas safe; send Cox back to his parent club and put Matty Hall on the bench, with a second half cameo, no guts no glory. We had no glory for seven games and people still complained.
