Bigger site than we have looking at this:
"indoor dome was completed, enabling Cherries to train inside on a full-size pitch.
Most recently, an outside 4G pitch was opened, whilst work on three full-size grass pitches has begun.
By the end of the project, there will be a total of nine full-size grass pitches, three pitches for junior age groups, three further goalkeeping pitches, and two padel tennis courts."

Amazing what can happen when you get Russian money - oh, apparently Maxim Demin is not an oligarch and is a British citizen.

Problem is how can a club like Rovers ever compete with those kinds of training facilities if Bournemouth ever hit harder times again and slipped down the leagues? Football is becoming like Rugby Union but with two Premiership divisions rather than the one, probably Brentford, Brighton and Luton will have similar facilities sooner or later. Meanwhile at the other end of the spectrum Torquay are struggling for survival.

Who cares they get a £100 million a season just by being in the Premier league. They still play in a tinpot stadium that has been updated since their rise to the dizzy heights. And if I’m not mistaken they were one of the clubs in the Premier league who voted against the cash hand out to the EFL clubs. They have handed the begging bowl out in their recent past so I await them doing something similar in the not to distant future.

Can’t stand the club - probably one of the first of the ‘plastics’ who ditched their traditions. The former Bournemouth and Boscombe Athletic suddenly became AFC Bournemouth, ditched the red shirts (where the nickname Cherries comes from) to play in copycat AC Milan kit. Then had years of going into administration, meaning they weren’t paying their debts, points deductions etc., then bailed out by a Russian millionaire!

When they went into administration they owed thousands to St John’s ambulance, local schools and local businesses. It always sticks in my throat that people say what a great job they’ve done. I’d be disgusted if that was Rovers

My neighbours house is loads bigger and nicer than mine. They also have a holiday home, several really expensive cars and have 5-6 overseas holidays every year. It’s just not fair. I’ll write to my MP and get something done about it. 😁!!!

Nice to see that cheating and fiddling the system gets you rewarded in the football world. Horrible club and maybe one day the money will run out on them

I agree, who cares, they are in the PL so live in a different football world than us. No comparisons. But the stadium hadn’t been updated since being in the PL. The last major improvement, the South Stand was completed in summer ‘13 when still in the Championship. They had to do some cosmetic changes esp to media facilities to meet PL regulations, but nothing that improved the actual ground. Unless you count an enlarged shop. The stadium hasn’t changed since being built back in early noughties. Some call it tinpot (esp other PL clubs) but it doesn’t half generate an atmosphere like no other in the PL. I haven’t been to Luton recently to compare. And that was/is a concern of fans wondering about the legacy of being in the PL. What legacy? I guess this new training ground is that legacy. What I find interesting, if you want comparisons, is that like us AFCB see providing a training ground for the team and manager more important than a shiny new ground. Much the same as Wael and Rovers regarding the Quarters and all the stuff about a new ground for us. Keeping a focus on the team and football perhaps. UTG!
